This yam cream is no joke!! Works just as well as my compounded pharmaceutical cream. Pleasant scent. Absorbs quickly! Love it!!

I was having night sweats and waking up every 30 minutes sweaty and stressed out (each wake-up is a reminder I’m not asleep which gives me anxiety; I’m a super busy person and need to sleep at least 2 hours in a row sometimes). I keep a spare nightshirt and dry soft washcloth next to me at night. I was literally soaking my washcloth (so gross omg) and changing my shirt, sometimes even twice. I would wake up in the morning and burst into tears due to the terrible night. I’m an herbalist and I know I need more than I am doing. I know wild yam really really helps so I started looking for a cream to buy. I read a bunch of reviews on Amazon and on the rest of the internet. I decide to try. The first night I had only 2 hot flashes and did not change my shirt! Since the first night, I have barely changed my shirt at night, I’m sleeping a few hours in a row, my stress level has gone down a lot because I’m actually sleeping again, my night sweats aren’t as sweaty, and I’m not experiencing night sweats every single night anymore!! I’m 3 1/2 weeks into this cream. I am using almost a teaspoon twice daily. I have gone through a little over half of the jar. At this point, I’m willing to pay for a jar of this every month. This is the first menopause specific herbal supplement I have started using. I feel more like myself and I feel like I’m getting my life back. It’s helping me so much.

I've been using this to help relieve the nerve tingles running along my spine due to peri-menopause symptoms. This does seem to work and once the cream is applied I rarely feel the tingles. It also smells relatively nice and herbal/natural.

Background: I'm a 46 year old who has recently undergone surgical menopause (hysterectomy and oophorectomy). The first couple of weeks were okay, but then my mood swings were horrible and I started having hot flashes. A friend recommended wild yam cream, so I found this product and bought it because it looked promising and was a reasonable price. I have been using it twice daily, with each dose about 1/8 tsp for about 6 weeks now. I briefly tried using more, about 1/2 tsp, but it didn't improve my results, so I went back down. I'm only about halfway through my first jar. Results: within a few days, my mood seemed back to normal pre-surgery levels. The hot flashes seemed unchanged: not better, but not worse like some have reported. This also did not improve my newly achy joints at all. I like the smooth texture of the cream and the very light earthy smell. It is easy and pleasant to apply. REFRIGERATION: I noticed after using this cream for a couple of weeks, that it's supposed to be stored in the refrigerator. I then read that some reviewers have had this cream get moldy otherwise. I didn't want to have that experience, but I knew I would forget to use it if I kept it in the fridge. So, using a clean butter knife, I transfer about a week's worth into a tiny travel jar. The main jar stays in the fridge while the small jar is by my bedside. That way, it is less likely to mold; and even if it were to mold, only a small amount would be affected. Recommended? Yes, I would recommend this for the mood improvement alone

I want to give an honest review based on my individual results. I had a total upheavil at 44 my body seemed to have hormone imbalance. I felt horrible sluggish bloated beyond words no energy retaining fluid and my periods were shortened to 25-26 days. I wasnt ready for the hrt route even as bad as i was feeling. i just wanted to find another natural remedy if there was one. After reading up i tried this. I suspected estrogen dominance based on my symptoms. I have faithfully used this for about a month or so and WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I feel back to my old self. The bloat is gone, my energy has increased and its even helped my skin. Its so soft and moisturized. I use it on my face at night. I am absolutely hands down continuing to use. For the first time in over a year my cycle returned back to 28 days as it had been most of my life. If your on the fence please for just a small amount of money, this can seriously change your well being. I was MISERABLE. And so so glad at the results ive seen. Stay consistent and give it a few weeks. You will be glad.

Pros -- packaged well, and very luxurious creamy feel. It's also USA/"local" which I like to support when possible. Cons -- I'm very smell-sensitive (to the point of getting headaches from smells) but I gave this a try anyway. As soon as I opened it, I thought the smell might be too strong. (It reminds me of the rose smell my grandma used to wear). However, I also figured putting it on my abdomen under my shirt and skipping my wrists would help with that until the smell naturally dissipated. No, it did not help with that. The smell stayed strong all day, even under my shirt. Secondly, yes, boric acid is an ingredient which I was an idiot and didn't see until after I purchased it. To be fair, it's in the description and the screen images of the description, so me missing it is totally on me. Boric acid is not inherently bad, per se. However, plenty of studies have shown that it can be toxic over time as it builds up in the skin. And since this isn't a one-time application -- it's designed to be used regularly and have build up in the skin -- that's a huge problem. I'm super disappointed because this is the only cream I've found that has black cohosh in it (recommended by my dr) and I wanted a transdermal route for that along with the other benefits of wild yam. But between the smell and the boric acid, it's a no-go for me. Back to searching for another solution again.

I never leave reviews but I wanted you to know if you’re having problems with hot flashes this works. It took about a week but I went from having about 6-8 hot flashes per night and morning to have maybe one. I love the smell and feel of the cream.
