I use the RØDE Wireless GO III regularly as the marketing director for our company, and these have been a fantastic addition to our video setup. We film a lot of content using a Canon camera, and these mics integrate perfectly with that workflow. Setup is quick, the connection is reliable, and the audio quality is consistently clean and professional. One of the biggest benefits for me is how little post-production work the audio requires. The sound comes through clear and balanced, so I rarely need to spend much time fixing or cleaning up audio during editing. Another standout feature is the battery life. We’ve used these during longer filming sessions, and the charge holds up really well. It’s nice not having to worry about the mics dying mid-shoot. The system itself is also compact and easy to transport, which makes it great for filming in different locations around the office or on-site. Review: I own both the Wireless GO II and the new Wireless GO (Gen 3), so I spent time comparing them side by side before deciding whether it was worth upgrading. If you're expecting a huge jump in audio quality, you'll probably be disappointed. If you're buying your first RODE wireless system or adding another kit to your workflow, the Gen 3 is the one I'd recommend. The first thing I noticed is the physical design. The dimensions are almost identical. Looking at them side by side, nearly all accessories made for the GO II fit the GO Gen 3 perfectly. My charging case, Interview Handle, clips, windscreens, and other accessories all transferred over without any modifications. That's one of the biggest reasons I continue investing in the RODE ecosystem. The appearance has changed more than the size. RODE removed most of the large white lettering from the transmitters and replaced it with a much cleaner gray finish. It looks more professional when clipped directly onto clothing during interviews, presentations, or video shoots. If you normally hide the transmitter or use the RODE Interview Handle, this won't matter much. But if the transmitter is visible on camera, I definitely prefer the cleaner design of the Gen 3. Audio Quality This is where expectations should be realistic. I recorded identical dialogue using both systems and compared the recordings in Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, and Pro Tools. For YouTube videos, interviews, weddings, podcasts, and corporate productions, I honestly could not hear a meaningful difference between the two systems during normal editing. Only when critically listening in Pro Tools could I notice a slight improvement from the Gen 3, and even then it was very subtle. If you're upgrading strictly for better audio quality, don't expect a dramatic improvement. The Wireless GO II already sounds excellent. The biggest improvements with Gen 3 are the additional features and workflow enhancements, not a night-and-day difference in sound. Compatibility One of the best surprises was that nearly all of my existing GO II accessories continue to work. * Charging case * Interview Handle * Clips * Windscreens * Mounting accessories Everything transferred over perfectly without needing to buy new accessories. Take your Wireless GO system a step further by adding a compatible non-locking 3.5 mm TRS lavalier microphone, such as the RODE Lavalier GO or compatible Sennheiser models. A lavalier makes it much easier to hide the microphone and transmitter under clothing for a cleaner on-camera appearance. It also allows you to position the microphone closer to the speaker's mouth, which can improve speech consistency and reduce clothing noise in many recording situations. Charging The included three-device USB-C charging bar is a nice addition and keeps all three units organized. My only minor complaint is that connecting and disconnecting all three devices from the charging bar takes a little more effort than plugging in individual USB-C cables. For everyday charging, I actually prefer using three separate USB-C cables because they're faster to connect and disconnect. The charging bar does have one advantage. It allows all three devices to connect through RODE Central using a single cable. During my testing on macOS, firmware updates were still installed one device at a time rather than simultaneously, but it was still convenient not having to reconnect each unit individually. What I Like * Cleaner and more professional appearance * Nearly identical size and weight as the GO II * Existing GO II accessories continue to fit perfectly * Excellent battery life * Reliable wireless performance * Easy integration with RODE Central * Triple charging dock keeps everything organized What to Keep in Mind * Audio quality improvements are subtle * Existing GO II owners should upgrade for new features and workflow improvements, not solely for better sound * The charging dock is convenient, but individual USB-C cables are quicker for daily charging Real-World Use I regularly use RODE wireless systems for interviews, event coverage, live productions, and YouTube videos. The GO II is still an outstanding wireless microphone system, and I continue using it regularly. The Gen 3 fit seamlessly into my existing workflow because all of my accessories remained compatible. That made upgrading easy without replacing gear I already owned. Bottom Line If you're buying your first wireless microphone system, I would choose the Wireless GO Gen 3 without hesitation. If you already own a Wireless GO II, don't expect a huge jump in audio quality. The upgrade is more about refined design, new features, and a smoother workflow than dramatically better sound. For me, the biggest advantage wasn't the audio quality—it was adding another professional RODE wireless system while keeping complete compatibility with the accessories I already owned.

The RØDE Wireless GO III is an outstanding wireless microphone system. The audio quality is very clear and professional, making it perfect for videos, interviews, and content creation. Setup is extremely simple and the connection is reliable with no noticeable dropouts. One of the best features is how compact and lightweight the transmitters and receiver are. They clip on easily and do not feel bulky while recording. The battery life is also strong and lasts long enough for extended filming sessions. Overall this is a fantastic wireless microphone system for anyone creating video content or recording interviews. The sound quality, reliability, and ease of use make it well worth it. I highly recommend it.

The sound is excellent. It's a great product, but I'm going to mention some drawbacks that no one else talks about. Cons: The biggest one is the USB data transfer speed. It's around 5MB/s!!! Yes, you read that right. Only a few forums mention this problem. If you record interviews or long conversations and then want to edit them, you'll have a tedious wait to copy the WAV files to your PC. Another problem is that the Smartlav+ microphone for cell phones, although it can be used here with adapters, has an inverted waveform. So it can only be used correctly with the receiver (TRRS). If you want to use it with the transmitter using an adapter, you have to be careful not to use two microphones because if you do, the transmitter with the Smartlav+ will give you a WAV file with the signal inverted, and when you mix that with the other microphone, they will cancel each other out or sound very bad. Another drawback is the size. They are awkward, and the magnetic clips have to be bought separately. So... In conclusion, I think it's worth buying the PRO model: you get two high-quality lavalier microphones, you get TimeCode; although I prefer the sound of these, you also get the charging case—a lot for a small price difference. However, I believe the USB speed is the same, 5MB/s. Another point is Rode's support for direct Bluetooth connection. For now, this feature, both for these microphones and the PRO models, is only available for iOS. I hope a future firmware update will release it for Android. If you have a Sony camera, you might consider DJI, as they offer a cold shoe adapter that allows you to record at 24-bit with the camera itself (without using TRS cables). Remember that Sony only records at 16-bit via TRS input. This option doesn't currently exist for Rode, I suppose due to patent issues.

Excellent! These mics have become the staple of my videography. They are easy to use, just turn on and go, and they work when you need them to. The 32-bit float has made a significant difference, but these mics just have a great way of picking up the audio you want and filtering out what you don't. I have used these while filming interviews in packed conventions, and recorded myself driving in my Jeep with the top off at 70mph, and you can hear me clearly with no wind noise. I call these simply amazing for the price. Another great feature is that each mic records onboard, so you can just use these to record whatever. I have used them for filming interviews over three days on just a single charge.

Instant Favorite. I have zero experience, this was literally plug and play instantly simple to use. The only gotcha was that you cannot delete audio off the local mic storage without installing special software. It's read only, delete is blocked. That being said 2 hours of recording resulted in about 1.5\30 used, it will be a while before this becomes an issue for most people. Do not dismiss the 32-bit sound quality, the streaming audio is good and dead simple, but the 32 bit audio is truly out of this world for percussive applications.

The sound recording is very good, the product quality is high. I'd say for $299 it's well worth it. I installed the receiver on the hot shoe of a Canon EOS DSLR and used a Rode Laravel mike on my lapel. I sat the rode transmitter on my belt. I was wowed by many features. Onboard sound recording as a backup, just plug it into your PC and it acts as a hard drive. Great clear screen information. Fast charging with monitors. Long life, and a lot of community notes on resolving issues. I edit on Linux Mint btw, and had few issues, if any. Camera latency matching audio to visual was a nice healthy zero. A lot of extras in the pack. Better than my DJI product which got my card cancelled as 'fraud detected'. Better quality too. It just looks and feels nice as well. It has function, it has form too.

Excelente micrófono, he hecho varias pruebas y el sonido es claro y nítido, solo a tener en cuenta que cada dispositivo necesita una configuración diferente para aprovechar su potencial, si cambia mucho el nivel de volumen dependiendo del dispositivo que se use. Recomiendo usarlo con un lavalier, ayuda a reducir más el ruido de fondo.

これまでは第一世代を使っていましたが、知り合いのカメラマンからこちらのバージョンをお勧めされて購入。 電源入れたら自動でRECされる機能は素晴らしいですし、何より送信機でも録音できるのは神です。 ワンオペ撮影時はいろいろとやることが多く、音が録れてなかった…なんてことにもなりかねないですが、この機能に本当に助けられました。 送信機が２つついているのも助かります。 以前、第一世代を二波使って2名のトークを撮影した際に音が混線したことがあったのですが、こちらのバージョンではもちろんそんなことは起こりません。 もっと早く購入すれば良かったと思うほど重宝しています。

Première fois que je prends des micros de cette qualité et franchement ils sont bien. J’ai juste acheté un câble pour transfert des données sur ma tour qui n’a pas de prise usb-c. Sinon rien a redire tres bon son, assez facile d'utilisation seul bémol c’est l’application est tout en anglais.
