We don't recommend swimming with the Lace WiGrip. It is made from velour fabric, and will not secure your wig if it is soaking wet.

Can you wear wig hair back or up in ponytail with this and the edges look natural like with glue?

As long as your wig cap fits snugly, yes!

I thought this was one size fits all? I bought a beige one for my head hoping it would fit my head probably a 24 or 25 head & it doesn't fit.

My head size is 23" and there is no problem with the fit. Call customer service or request a replacement on the web. You may have a defective Grip Band. I went to FL recently and it also functioned as a sweat band, making my full lace wig extra comfortable in the heat. I sincerely hope this helps you.
