The child will go from letter sounds, to letter blends and finally to reading sentences. This book focuses on phonetic reading and the short vowel sounds. The vowels are in red to encourage elongating the vowels which helps with the blending process in reading. The lessons are about 10 minutes each, short and simple. The book is intended for children ages 3-7 as a primer for beginning reading. Children do not need prior reading skills for this book. After the child completes the 51 lessons, they will be reading decodable sentences with ease. The author taught 4 of her children to read by the age of 3 with this simple method! So simple and ALL YOU NEED!
Don’t normally leave reviews. Felt like I needed to for this wonderful book! I am home educator to 3 and my youngest is 5. I never took my eldest through very early stages of reading as they were in school previously. I was a little overwhelmed by the amount of books available for learning to read… most of them don’t actually help to TEACH a child to read, only to do activities to support early reading. I came across Jadas books and method on YouTube and found the supporting book. It is very simple. But for teaching to read I believe this method is THE BEST. My daughter has loved it and has now learned all her letters and is now reading words which she is so excited about! If you have a child who needs to start from the actual beginning, don’t use any other method because this really works! I made some little letter cards to help with the letter comprehension before we started the book as recommended by Jada in her videos… Trick is don’t start the book until the child can recite all the letters confidently out of alphabetical order.

This book is MARVELOUS for teaching your children to read. My daughter aged 8 has dysphasia, and this book has REALLY helped her. Thank you to the auther. I will by the series.
