Space saver

Great little table.
After reading all the negative reports about bad packaging, I was hesitant to order this table. My table made the trip in excellent condition. It’s not the bad packaging that’s the problem with these shipments but rather the rough and careless handling of the delivery services. No amount to packaging can survive the rough treatment by these types of delivery services.

Nice and sturdy
As always, these tables are fabulous. I use them for desks and like to stack one on top of the other. Currently I have one of my five-foot long desks on the top. It gives me extra shelf space. I can also use the supports as hangers, such as for my headphones or a monitor. For this particular one (6ft x 18in), I'm a little disappointed that the supports go so far in from the sides because I was hoping for plenty of leg room (the five foot 30-in one has the supports flush against the sides). However, it's understandable that the supports need to be a little more central for stability. The only problem I've ever had is that the 18-in tables sometimes tip a little when pushed. This is resolved by putting heavy things on it - like another table. I have never once been disappointed in an Alera folding table. I just wish they had more size options.

Very easily damaged.
We ordered 6 of these tables for our conference/training room so we could have the versatility of using them as one bigger table for meetings, in a U shape for training classes, etc. They work very well for that, they're lightweight and easy to fold up so you can change them around easily. Seem sturdy and hold up just fine for what we need them for. While they did arrive in perfect shape, the finish seems very prone to scratching and scuffing. After the very first training class, we already had surface scratches and lighter rub spots. All they were used for is sitting at and writing on. They are NOT scratch resistant in any way. We're keeping them as they work well otherwise, but don't make the mistake of thinking they're good for anything other than light use.

I am really liking this table for my middle school classroom. It’s narrow and sturdy and perfect for an already tight classroom.
