Presto 02153 Precise 23-Quart Digital Pressure Canner

I have had my canner a week. Have pressure canned and water bath canned and love it. Such an easy machine to use. Super simple. Absolutely in love so far. The only negetive I have so far is it only comes with one rack so you can’t stack your pressure canner. But there very inexpensive to buy.

Super happy I bought this. It’s nice for when you do big batches of pints. I also love that it does quarts. It’s a little slower than I’m use to but it’s worth it. Everything works perfectly no leaks easy on / off with lid. Super sturdy and the safety part is a plus. It’s big and it does its job.

LOVE this thing. I was nervous about canning in the first place, but as I watched videos, I realized I would not want to sit on top of a canner and worry about the proper heat and all the things you do to can successfully in a regular canner. As a newbie, this was the best option for me. I have canned over 120 items without a hitch. The first time I used it, it would not go to the canning phase. I searched the internet and found out that the air vent/cover lock was not engaging because the nut that is on the inside of the lid was loose. As soon as I tightened it up, I had no issues. That could have worked its way loose during travel, so not a fault of Presto. It is not loud. I am used to the different sounds it makes, but I appreciate that I can be in different places in the kitchen and it will let me know with a beep or beeping that it is ready to move to the next phase. It seems durable. I don't think it will have any issues in that department. I can tell you that owning this has made me addicted to canning. I am so happy to learn how to do it and to have a canner I can count on every time to come to the correct pressure/temp. and time. Wish I could have a second one.

My third presto electric product! 12 quart Electric Cooker, 7 years, 12 quarts Electric “Canner”, 7 years, 23 Quart Electric “Canner “, 1 month! I Begged for the 7 quart Canner in Electric, when the 12 Quart came out! But Presto has perfected the design with the New 23 Quart model. The metal on metal closure is very “Safe”. I love the beeping. I can hear it all over the house when the cycle changes. I have toasted my arm a few times putting jars into a hot canner. I’m a short lady and the canner is tall, just be careful. This one is not insulated like the 12 Quart model. Actually that’s an advantage because it makes the Pot lighter and easier to lift and empty. Never try to empty a Hot Canner. Let it Set Overnight! Presto is a great Customer Service Company. They replaced my 12 Quart Canner when the green lid broke. The price is high, but it’s American Made. I’m Proud to be a long time Presto Customer. Yes, I still have the old 23 quart manual canner. Mines an Antique! I keep it in memory of Hard Times, and my Mom. If you choose to buy this 23 Quart Electric Canner you’ll be very happy! Canning 7 quarts at a time is soooo much better than having room for only 5, in my 12 quart model. But being able to do pints in double stacked is an Electric Blessing! It will save you so much time!
