Absolutely worth it (at least for me)
I threw out my back and was in an incredible amount of pain if I tried to bend in any direction. This little thing was a lifesaver. I didn't want to spend hundreds to go to the dr. and get scans and then chiro/PT, so I gave this and a back brace a try in hopes that it would make the pain manageable. It ABSOLUTELY worked and now my back pain is less than what it was before it completely gave out! Assembly does require some force after the first notch. The highest notch was pretty difficult the first few times I switched it, but I'm also 5'2", so that setting just made me feel like I was almost doing a complete back bend, but seemed okay for my 6' partner. I alternate between the lowest and middle notch. The spikes on it is not painful at all and provides some needed pressure. I think you can put in on your chair and use it that way. I've just been putting it on the floor and laying on it for 5-10 minutes at the beginning and end of the day. The first time I used it, my back cracked in about 12 different places which kind of scared the crap out of me but I immediately felt so much better. I'm honestly in love with this thing and I'm pretty picky and have commitment issues. And yes- that's absolutely ridiculous because it's literally just two pieces of plastic. Now just be mindful that I never found out why my back gave out so will this be as life changing for you as it was for me? I sure as heck can't tell you, but if my 2 cents are worth anything, I'd say it's worth a try. (I'm 100% not saying that this is an alternative to professional medical care and do not follow the example of someone who makes questionable decisions about her health)

Old man ALIVE “IM BACK”
Back in 1987 we didn’t have any of these. When my son told me about this I couldn’t believe it. He went and ordered me one for my back pain I’ve been having every since I lifted a Samsung fridge. You know those big beefy ones that take 10 people to lift?! Yea I tried to do so by myself. Anywho, he had to assemble the device because it was a little hard to change levels. I had to take it easy though and start from level one. Let me tell you something, my back has never been stretched that good in over 20 years. But once I got stage 3, It felt like Jesus was taking me to heaven, the pain relief felt so good, my soul left my body. I feel 6 inches taller and can actually golf with my friends on Monday mornings. It’s been over 34 years since I last golfed with my friends and now this device allowed me to finally play with them again. Anyways, goodnight my back is relieved and feeling good. I’m going to bed

This product works!
I have been dealing with a long history of back pain since my injury in Iraq, 2002. This product works pretty well so far by allowing me to decompress my lower, mind and upper back through relaxation and natural gravity. I have been routinely getting massages every month for years to deal with the tension and pain in my cervical, thoracic and lumbar regions. Doctors have only recommended physical therapy and medications, both of which never did much other than complicate things with additional side effects. This is a medication free treatment device that is extremely cheap in comparison to other options I have tried. Overall I have been able to get better results with this option then other methods. I have been working on my back for over 18 years and this seems to be the missing last step. I would like to be up front though you have to expect some adjustment pains, I noted a significant increase in pain after vertebrae adjusted for 2 days, given I have had pain for so long though it was not that big a deal for me and something I was aware could happen due to past experience with different treatments. I hope my review will help someone out there finally get some relief by trying this product. I would say go slow, the basic first step for this product is more then enough of a curve to help the majority of people. I would say higher steps in the curve are for people with a great deal of flexibility, so pretty healthy spine people looking for additional flexibility. I can do the second step pretty easily now but don’t see the benefit as much as the lower step allows for great relaxation and depth for the pressure points. These hard points might be difficult to endure for sensitive people, but can also help one release thorough breathing exercises and relaxation.

Good while it lasted
Bought this in 2022 and it just broke July 2024. Used it about every other day before bed for about 5 minutes on the 2nd notch. Didn’t throw it around or abuse it. Wish it wasn’t so cheaply made. Overall I felt it did help alleviate tension and stretch my back after a long day of work or intense exercise.

This WORKS!!
I’m a dyed in the wool chiropractic care supporter and have been enjoying the overall health benefits that seem to be overlooked when considering that our “system controls” all run through our spine at some point in the process. Regular adjustments have cleared my sinuses, healed a rash, mitigated the pain of sciatica, corrected the lack of curve in my neck and lumbar spine, and overall greatly improved my quality of life. I recently lost my precious chiropractor and was looking for some relief while in search for another. This does the trick! Ive had friends try who instantly purchased their own! Excellent product. My only suggestion is when you’re just starting out, start on the lowest level and begin at 1 minute once every other day and work up to 5 minutes before going to the next level up and repeat the timing. I’m not a doctor, chiropractor, nor any other medical professional and this suggestion is just that, a suggestion, and not meant to represent or replace your physicians advice or directive

Be careful.
I don't have photos, and when I tried to write this review the first time it wasn't accepted for some reason. I was so excited to use this, I've had horrible back problems due to a car accident that happened on February 14th in 2021.* Let me start by saying, you have to be super strong to actually get this into the notches. It took 3 people for me. Unfortunately, the first time, I decided I would try to set it up by myself. My hand got caught inside of the notch, between both sides of incredibly hard plastic. I had to rip off a chunk of skin to get my hand unstuck, and when the adrenaline wore off, I was dry heaving on the bathroom floor. When all was said and done and I tried to get it put in the bag it came with to put it away, the zipper broke off. Now I can't open it without cutting the bag open. It took a week to get feeling back in my hand, and a little bit longer for the swelling and bruising to go down. Watch your hands when you're setting it up. And if you're not sure if you can do it yourself, please ask someone for help. I don't think I'll ever want to use this product again, so I gifted it to my brother. If you get this, it may help with back problems (it didn't do much for me). Just be CAREFUL when setting it up.

Low impact!
Adjustment: the board is a little stiff and changing in between settings can pinch fingers. Especially going up to stage two or three with the nore significant curvature. Especially with nails. But it is feasible. You just have to find what works for you. Use: I cannot have my back adjusted traditionally, I can relax and attempting to do so would likely lead to injury. This requires at least 10-15minutes and takes a bit for me to relax and breathe enough for my body to relax enough for it to be comfortable and feel the help. I have been slouching for life to compensate for being taller and it's caused some discomfort especially working at a desk for longer periods of time now. Comfort: initial uses I used a pillow to mitigate some discomfort when using this device on the floor on the first(lowest curve) setting. In an office chair it helps my posture and was awkward at first but I noticed a difference in how I sat with and without it after use. That's a win. My discomfort lessend siginificantly. That is a drastic change considering there was little or no relief before. I would just grin and bear it. My roommate and a coworker have tried it. I've since bought a second one to gift to my coworker. He and his girlfriend are excited to use theirs now. Sharing with my roommate doesn't suck since we have opposite schedules. Alone, I definitely got my money's worth. But considering how much use we have gotten out of it in the past ten days, it was worth what I spent. Also, easy to clean. My dog sheds like crazy and it's unavoidable. I just use a cleaning cloth and all purpose cleaner. No issues to note.

Noticeable Difference
I'm 6'5" and have had terrible lower back pain since I started working from home in March. I looked online for a solution and found this. It is easy to put together as there's only really two pieces to it. The hardest part is figuring out how to relax the tension in your body as you do it. It takes some time to figure out, but once you do, you'll feel it. I have an athletic build and I'm in good shape, weighing 235 lbs. and this thing supports my weight no problem. It never feels like it's going to fail or break under my weight. I started off on the 'beginner' setting and after about a month I switched to the 'moderate' setting (there's three settings). I started to notice more of a difference once I made the switch to the moderate setting, although I would not suggest jumping right in to moderate, no matter how flexible you think you are. It's best to get used to the thing first, then to move up to the next setting. Before I started using this, I couldn't sit in my desk chair for 30 minutes straight, now I can sit at my desk chair for a full 8 hour workday no problem. I use this to stretch my back out anywhere from two to three times a day at five minutes a session. I'll do one in the morning, one at lunch, and one after work has concluded.

Great for lower back pain in between medical treatments
I have lower back pain and have had since I was 15. It got to its worst in 2014 when I had to seek Chiropractic treatment. A long story short, on occasion my back requires some stretching and this device works well. I've only got it on the first setting as advised. I was going to start on the second setting but the first is difficult enough. I call it the STD (spinal torture device) as it hurts to begin with. A lot. I have to lie gently on it and slowly let my muscles relax which takes a few minutes. Once relaxed I can feel my back ease. This does become easier after repeated use. Once done, it says to roll off to one side and rest. This is what I do - only 'rest' = 'roll into the foetal position'. It makes me feel winded for 10 seconds or so. It turns out I'm not built to be a gymnast which comes as no great surprise. It sounds grisly but it really does help with the stretches. The spikes are meant to do something with pressure points but to be honest they're the least of your worries as curving your spine the wrong way causes the most grief. All to good effect though. On the whole I would recommend by STD to anybody.

Great device to stretch slouched back
Since working an office job, I’m slouched over for hours a day. Back stiffness was present and stretches on YouTube weren't cutting it. I searched Amazon and found this... I could say after a few minutes a day of using this thing I’ve already felt my back stiffness freeing up. You just can’t get this type of stretch that supports your arch from a foam roller or a towel The lumps are a little uncomfortable at first but you ease into them. Plus the foam insert on the spine area makes it real comfortable to lay on.
