Plastic or polymer erasers are so much better than pink rubber erasers. They erase pencil more cleanly, they are far less likely to damage paper, and there is far less debris. They also last forever. I replace mine because I lose them, not because they run out. I tend to keep a few around. One or two on my desk. One in my backpack pen/pencil case. I'm generally brand agnostic when it comes to the erasing function - I've used several brands over the years and they are the same. But I really like these Pentels because they are smaller than standard polymer erasers. Seems I can get a little more precise when using, and they're a little more convenient. But maybe the small size is why I keep losing them! I envy the people who claim they have had the same eraser for 25 years. I believe they can last that long. I need a new 4 pack every couple of years. But not expensive so I don't care.

They're much smaller than I expected but otherwise perfect

So, I know someone who is studying for the GED. He was saying that he's using the erasers on the pencils a lot. He's blazing through them. I told him about white erasers and he didn't get it. Like, what's the difference? He got them and it's a total game changer. They erase to almost invisible, like you can see the indent, but not the graphite. Doesn't shred the paper like pink erasers. Durability is mid. You use more eraser, but it's better than wrecking paper, so I think it's a better outcome. Four pack quantity takes care of that. Also, they are not that expensive, which means you can afford to have one at the desk, one in a backpack, spares.
