The diameter of the base of my chimney is 2 5/8 inches

Probably, the box my replacement chimney came in says Made in China. It fits my Aladdin lamp just fine. Do not over tighten the chimney attaching to the lamp, when the glass heats up it will expand, just snug is fine.
