This is part of my process to optimize my travel cable box. Now I just carry a USB C PD supply, USB C cables and a variety of adapter. While this does not require PD specifically, it works great for devices with older design connectors. BT recommends

The quality on these is good for the average adapter out there. They do function both ways with a USB-C cable plugged into wall power unit. This specific set worked with a USB-C to USB-C cable plugged into a PC however the second set I purchased did not work with the PC (charging, I did not test data transfer. wasn't what I bought them for). If that is a requirement make sure they are tested when they arrive. They may need to be returned a couple times to find units that do.

so I wanted to use this with a couple Raspberry Pi 3 Model B units I had since I have more cable lengths in usb c now this makes my home lab mini rack cabling a little neater and gives some more options. needed maybe not but so far the power works. haven't tried data but might on an old gopro session some day as a remote camera.

Now that we have the comparative luxury of USB-C relative to Micro USB, I despise using the micro connectors at all. I hate having to align the wide with the wide and the narrow with the narrow.
