Update: Winter #2 has arrived and this scraper still works good as new. My arms, regrettably, are still short, but apart from not being able to reach the middle of the windshield, it's very effective and fast. Wear some kind of gloves because ice scatters everywhere. Original review:The windshield ices almost every day and it's incredibly annoying to press hard only to scrape a tiny line. Plastic blades just don't work. They get dinged and then streak and it takes forever to accomplish very little. I bought this for the brass blade and thought it would be bigger, but it's actually fine. Being able to hold it in your hand and press from the top is effective, but the downside is that if your car is tall, like an SUV typical in a snowy area, it can be difficult to reach the middle of the glass. I wish they would add a clip on handle similar to a curling stone (🇨🇦 represent!) to make it easier to get the whole windshield.

This works ok but not great. It's decent in a pinch but not exactly my go-to dependable ice scraper. It's not easy to hold when really having to scrape. The cut outs for finger grips is too small, even for my small fingers. Will still be looking for a better solution.

Buy this scraper and thank me later haha. It works much better than a standard plastic scrapper. The brass does not hurt your windshield. I took a chance and I'm glad I did. Buy of the month for me.

This little contraption works great on heavy, wet snow with some icing. I haven't used it on really thick ice, yet but I live in Northeast Ohio, near Lake Erie. I am sure that I will have PLENTY of opportunities.

I live in the Northwest Territories. Summers are beautiful, but winters are long and demanding. Best thing to do is - Be Prepared. Was tired of using the typical plastic scrapers that just didn't cut it (the ice that is). No matter how wide the old scraper is - the cleared surface is sometimes less than an inch wide. After a particularly frustrating scraping session, I decided to see what other options are out there and so glad I did. Easy to hold and I like that both the front and back work in the same hand position and offer different benefits - without having to flip it around. Saves time on a cold morning and it's a much better ergonomic experience. I'm going to re-order for friends to make their cold winter mornings, just that much better. I have no affiliation with the company, but genuinely find this a helpful winter tool that is an excellent addition to my winter routine.

C'est vrai que pour déglacer après une chute de neige gelée, épaisse, ça va très bien! Le mode double action est très bien! Mais pour ça n'importe quel grattoir, même en plastique, bien aiguisé, fonctionne bien! Mes espoirs étaient surtout pour la petite glace fine du matin qui est très difficile à gratter. J'espérais que le grattoir en laiton serait plus efficace que le plastique. Ce grattoir n'est pas mieux que les autres! En fait le grattoir en laiton est comme un peu arrondi et il ne coupe pas assez! J'ai essayé de le limer un peu, à voir si ça ira mieux! Le fait que le grattoir est en main est bien, on peut appliquer une bonne pression, mais à bout de bras. Par contre, la forme empêche de gratter près du capot et des essuie-glaces!
