Good quality. May develop some spots over time, but that doesn’t matter. Easy to tune, not scary at all.

Excellent quality and feel to these strings. Priced very affordable and have become my go to for my Taylor acoustic guitar!

These are an interesting alternative to Elixir and D'Addario EXPs. They sound wonderful when playing fingerstyle guitar. I notice some scratchiness, however, when playing Dunlop Tortex picks with these strings. More so than with the other two strings brands I mentioned. If you like a brighter sound, these might be your preference over the other two brands. I'll continue updating as I play them for the next month or so to see how they hold up with some wear on them.

I never used to use Ernie Balls much because early on, for some reason, I got the impression they were mostly an electric guitar string company. Don't know whether that's true or not, but the idea's been sitting around in my head long as I can remember. Well, I'm an acoustic guy--my main axes are a rosewood Martin dread and a Gibson SJ made of mahogany--and I was getting really sick of my strings dying every couple weeks, so I thought I'd give these a try. Loved them! Good boom and thump out of the Martin strung with mediums, warm punchy growl from medium-lights on the mahogany. Nice projection on both. I like Elixr Nanowebs equally as much (if not a hair better), but both brands really seem to get out of the way and let the guitar do the talking; you don't hear the color of the string so much as the wood itself. I like that. I'll take Balls over Elixrs for the lower price, but I'll take either of 'em over D'Addario EXP"s. I find when those D'Addarios go, they don't just fade away, they seem to drop dead all at once. A note of caution: Ball's "Medium Lights" are equal to other brands' "Lights" (12-54), and their Mediums are just like regular old Mediums (13-56). Can be confusing at first. They work for me. Try them out!

These stings just sing. They have a very mellow tone. They resonate very well and have nice sustain. Very well priced and fast delivery.

Surprisingly good. I'm a hard strummer who averages around 90 - 3hr shows per year... and I break a lot of strings. these have out performed every brand I have tried. Sound, longevity and durability... all for a very reasonable price compared to coated strings from Exlixir and D'addario. I am not paid to say any of this but if Ernie Ball wants to send a case or 2 my way.... I won't say no!
