These are great inserts! I did get a size larger than my covers, and they filled them completely, while still being soft enough to shape. There is no odor. I inserted them right after taking them out of the vacuum package, and then fluffed to fill the corners once they expanded overnight. Very happy with this purchase.

I have started using pillow covers and inserts because I just don't have space to store all these throw pillows and can just change out the covers with the seasons. These came in a set of two and I thought were a little steep but after opening them and inserting, I think they will be worth the higher cost. I added pics of what they looked like when they arrived. Have to say I was a little concerns as they came rolled together in a small box. Once I open the bag they began to grow. I followed the instructions and they fluffed up great. I have added pictures with the covers I bought here too. I always buy a size larger insert than pillow. I will update if they do not hold up but for now I love them. The kitty loves them too!

I compared Pillowflex against PureDown and Basic Home 22x22 inch pillows. I ended the Pillowflex. Pillowflex: Right PureDown: Middle Basic Home: Left Here's how they broke down: Pillowflex - most expensive $33/pillow. But there isn't the crinkle that you sometimes get with the cheap down used in most of these pillows. You can still do the chop with it, and it has some heft. If you fell asleep on the couch it'd be a good pillow to sleep on. The con is that the outer material is super scratchy. Not really a fan, but as these are inserts, I'll only have to deal with that as I change out the pillows seasonally. PureDown - Medium price $23/pillow. I like these pillows! If I hadn't received the Pillowflex first I probably would just use these. They squish, they hold a chop the outer material is super soft. They are great. The only downside is that they crinkle a little bit. Its not bad, and if you've had cheap down pillow inserts you know what I'm talking about. Its a VERY slight crinkle. I have some of these, I like them! Basic Home - Cheapest price $20/pillow. These pillows aren't my favorite for a few reasons. The material is almost air tight - which might be good for staining - but it makes them feel like a leaky sleeping air pad. They take a few to flatten when squished. Also compared to the other 2 brands they were lumpy and really crinkly. I would definitely spend the extra $3 and go for Puredown ones instead.
