Amelie Poulain has led a sheltered life - educated at home by over-protective parents, she retreats into a fantasy world of her own. Be aware that the language is still French, English only in subtitles
Great film - my 8 year old loves it. But I have to watch it with her as she can't handle reading the subtitles. We thought as a UK import it would be dubbed, but it isn't. Still a great film, though.

Video Does not work
I would love to have a copy of this movie but after eagerly anticipating, putting it on to play was very disappointed to find out that it doesn't play. So One star rating. I dont know if other people got good copies but I can assure you that mine is not.
