Yes..and much more durable and strong that regular department store stuff....it's the only kind I'll use now because it's the best..

How well do you think this clothesline wire would hold up to an ocean - salty air environment?

I was surprised at how heavy the plastic coating and the wire was. I used to live within blocks of the beach and the clothesline wire I used wasn't nearly as heavy duty as this so I don't think you could do any better than this product.

Will this work for a above ground pool cover and winch

its a good sturdy coated cable, not sjure how a pool winch works but seems like it could work if it fits, holds wet blankets and what not on the clothes line!
