This thing is amazing!
We took it camping the same week after it arrived. So the virgin installation was straight out of the box brand new. I have a Toyota tundra crew cab and the fit was perfect. The instructions were extremely helpful and very precise for set up. I had it set up within 30 minutes, likely will be quicker the next time. I was intending to leave the rain guard off and view the stars at night, but the grey clouds came in and so we put the rain guard on. It worked marvelous, everything inside remained completely dry, the rain rolled off like a ducks back. Everything was secure, safe and sound. I added the inflatable mattress designed for this model truck and a small combo fan/LED light and I was off to the races. There was one thing that I realized I needed and that was a step stool or ladder but we made due, not absolutely necessary but would have been helpful. Overall this is an excellent tent and worth the money spent.

Plenty of room for two, plus dogs!
Finally set this up this weekend on our '98 Ford F150 6.5' bed. The instructions are fairly clear on how to hook everything together, and are actually sewn to the storage bag so you don't have to worry about losing them. One thing to watch out for would be if you have any accessories like bed tie downs that stick up, we have metal tie down hooks that stick up about 1-2" and were worried about the rear one with the tent. The tent went up fairly quickly with two of us and having never used a bottemless tent. The hardest part of sitting it up was unfolding it and figuring out which side was up and where the correct corners were quickly. Tie down and adjustment points are adequate, plenty, and look sturdy enough the way they are sewn in. We put it up without using the rain fly, which should be just as easy to put on following the instructions. We went camping in an open field in the summer, but found a few trees to get a little shade for a few hours; even in the direct light and without the rain fly on, inside stayed comfortable with plenty of ventilation. We were also surprised by how much room this tent actually has, especially it's head room. We had our two dogs with us (Husky/Boxer and a GSD) and all still comfortably fit and slept thanks to the tailgate being down. The dogs were curious of the tent at first but never challenged it or tried to push through the mess windows. The only thing was during the night, one of the dogs rolled in her sleep and found probably the only "open" section of the tent which is at the end of the tailgate, and rolled out onto the ground (she was fine, confused, but fine). That section isn't open, it actually curls under the tailgate to seal out water and wind, but it doesn't prevent anything pushing from the inside from falling out. So if you pack items in the truck bed with you rather than in the truck try to keep them away from the tailgate. I do wish this section of the tent had adjustable tie downs as well just to give a little bit more security. **Side note** If you have a lifted truck, you may want to bring a stool, not to get in and out, but to reach the door zipper when it goes to the top. It was slightly difficult for my wife to reach the zipper at the top to open it and hard for her to finish closing it from the outside even though our truck is a standard non 4x4 and not lifted.

Works on a Ram 1500 with a Ram Box
I bought this for a 2017 Ram that has a Ram Box. In the interior phot you can see that the inside does not reach like it is designed, but I figured as much since the sidewalls to the truck are thick. You can also see in a picture the on a Ram this tent is a bit snug in the width. Other reviews complain about the quality of zippers and stitching. In my opinion, this tent is pretty standard compared to a Colman. It is a lightweight tent and heavy duty zippers wouldn’t make sense. The ones on this tent are fine, but will wear out. The set up took less than 15 minutes, but I have lots of experience setting up tents and the process is pretty intuitive. I will be adding to this review as I break it in and really put it through the paces.

Stood strong through rain and snow
My son and I took this for an early spring overnight fishing trip. The instructions were pretty clear and it all went up easily. It fit perfectly and kept us dry through a stormy night that included rain and then about 2 inches of snow. I am very pleased with my purchase and feel the tent is of good quality and a great value.

Great tent and a must have for pick up owners that like to fish all night or camp out all the time
Got this for my 2014 Chevy Silverado extended cab standard bed. I bought the 6.5' Full-Sized Standard and it fit like a glove. Takes 5 mins to set up. I have a three section Tauno cover for my bed it even fit over that. The only issue was the queen size mattress would get a little tight once blown up so I usually just take the cover off and set it next to my truck before setting up the tent. Bought it for my girlfriend and I to sleep in for a wedding have used it multiple times since then when sleeping on the beach while four wheeling and just camping out. The cover works great in the rain, at the wedding it rained all night and was windy as crap. The tent stayed dry and stayed in one place while everyone else who had tents on the ground got flooded. Haha they all had to sleep on the floor of the barn while we enjoyed a comfy dry air mattress.

Well crafted. Top notch product.
This is from Alabama, where we tend to have more ice issues than snow. We may make the milk industry a ton of money every time snow is mentioned, but the ice is the problem. I was caught out in the past, unable to get home for days and with the same threat looming recently (today), I decided to prepare as best I could on a small budget. This tent fit the needs I had. If I had gear in my truck bed, I didn't want to unload everything first. I just wanted to set up the tent and be covered. That was the main focus. Digging through Amazon, this was one of the few options available. Reviews were solid and, in hindsight, generally accurate. My first experience with the tent is under the conditions I bought it for. I set this up, first time, in the wind and rain and sleet. Lessons learned, but actually really easy to accomplish. I probably looked like an idiot in my driveway, but best kind of practice is real world so I did it. Thankfully, this was not me being stuck away from home though. Set up was rather easy. Do the tailgate. Snug up the front. Come back and do the interior straps (important!). Then snug up the other straps. Run the poles. Done. The straps make setting up in the wind easy, just use the wind to your advantage. This first run took probably 15 minutes. Aside from hooking this to your truck, it's just like any other dome tent you are likely familiar with already. I'm sitting in it now, the wind is whipping up to some decent gusts pretty frequently. It's raining still, just as hard as it was during set up. No water coming through, no real breeze makes it in to the tent aside from through the bed rail where my truck has holes behind the stake pockets. Big gusts will let some wind in from there but it's really nothing. Probably a good thing since I am also running a buddy heater in here, give some ventilation. The frame holds up to the wind very well, but the fabric is a bit loose so it whips around a good bit, mostly in the tailgate area. I figure it's a one size fits most issue and I will look to see how I can fix that going forward. I did set it up under crappy conditions so I may have missed something. Headroom is great. At the peak, there is more than any topper will give you, except maybe a highboy. Makes for a comfortable sitting position, even almost to the sides of the bed. The tailgate being down gives you that much more room in this thing. Excellent design. I'm happy with the purchase. It is evident that this not a wholly Chinese endeavor. The instructions are clear and well written. The quality is really top notch. Fitment is good. Price was right and worth spending a few extra dollars. For my 2015 Silverado 1500, the 6.5 version is a great fit. If you are on the fence, rest assured this is a great option.

COMPLETELY changed my camping experience!!
It’s not the quickest thing to set up but its absolutely worth the extra few minutes. I recommend this style truck bed tent over ANY other. The floor-less design allows for ease of clean up and no worry of tracking mud, dirt etc into your tent. The shell design keeps rain and snow outside the vehicle. The rain fly also does a great job at keeping warmth in at night and when removed the views are spectacular. I set this up during a freezing rain storm outside Sedona in February, and once finished was able to sleep safely elevated from the torrents of water on the ground. Had room for my kitchen set up, a buddy heater and was even able to stand up for a warm sponge bath after being pelted by the hail while setting up. It turned what would have been a miserable night camping into an unforgettable experience. I wish I had this sooner.

Good for price
This product is nice and is okay for the price but do not expect to get every weekend out of this tent. It is good for the occasional weekend camping trip or a few nights here and there. This tent will eventually rip and break, the assembly is okay there are parts where you may feel like you are going to break the tent putting it together just take your time and go easy it will go together. It feels pretty sturdy. The zipper can be difficult to zipper you almost always have to pull the sides together to get it to zip. The rain guard works as described. Again good for the price but not much more mine eventually ripped after 10 uses.

Easy set up
Really liked the set up and how easy the instructions were to read. Great to sleep in a tent and be up off the ground, so if it rains you're not sleeping on wet ground. The only dislike I have is the fact that the tent isn't completely sealed around the tailgate, great place for flies and other insects to get in
