I'll admit that like others i was a bit thrown off by the name of this fruit and nut bar when i read its name and thought it has three main flavors of Date, Cashew & Cookie . However that is not the case and what it really is a cookie of dates and cashews - Its a bit confusing initially, I know. TEXTURE However once you get past the semantics of labeling it is a very delicious bar that is only made of Cashews and dates (in order of quantity). The texture of the bar is somewhat gooey i.e the cashews are crushed and and its more like the natural texture of dates . TASTE -The bar definitely tastes like dates and cashews , even though it has more cashews than dates (by volume) in each bar, the dates tastes is the predominant taste of the bar with cashews as an aftertaste - Despite having dates, its not that sweet as you'd typically expect a date bar would be and it think its mainly due to a larger quantity of cashews in it CALORIES - Despite all natural ingredients and a mild sweet taste with no added sugars, you have to be careful and remind yourself that this is not a low calorie food . Each bar contains 210 calories FINAL THOUGHT Overall this is a nice all natural, mildly sweet date bar which is good for occasional snacking or treat. We have so many allergies in our family. It we have Celiac disease, which means we cannot have anything containing wheat. This makes finding snacks rather difficult.
