There's a reason its expensive. A tiny drop on some blue oxidization does wonders. On pcbs or smaller scale battery terminals it works well to restore and remove the corrsion. I use baking soda water mix first, then wash the item with h2o and dry. Then the deoxit. I've had great results.

ChatGPT told me to use this to correct a switch problem on my coffee roasting machine. It seemed too easy to be true. But, I can’t believe after I left this inside the switch and on the outside of the switch just to remove a couple years of accurate smoke that comes off the coffee roaster, that’s the switch is working again! I rubbed some on the plastic on the outside and I couldn’t even believe that it also cleaned that up and made the plastic shine like new! Definitely great value and versatility!

Fixed my corroded ECU pins, just had to soak them and q tip the fluid out after it soaked the pins and I reconnected them a few times. Definitely a keep and use product for many things. Soaking and wiping the surfaces will clean and restore pins . etc well. It's a small test tube that will get a project or few done for cleaning.

For over 40 years I was a bench technician. DeOxit Spray is the standard of the industry and the only thing I have found that universally works yet never harms plastic or even cloth. All other such sprays come with warnings on the labels that they may damage this or that. Now retired, I very rarely need this sort of product and the Spray isn't inexpensive. I have found this works every bit as well at a much more affordable price plus it takes up far or less storage space in my desk drawer. obviously, it is only useful if you can get to the actual contact to put a drop on. I usually work it in with a Q-Tip. It is a tiny tube, but full concentration means it will probably outlive me!

Got this to clean contacts on old NES game cartridges and the pin connector on the console itself. A few drops and a cotton swab or three and all my games are working again. This does a great job at cleaning the contacts, and adding a layer of protection to keep them from getting too dirty to be read again. It is very easy to use this product to clean them and although its a bit pricey for the amount you get, this size tube will last a while based on how little was needed to clean the games and console.

I have a couple electric guitars that sat for some time. Plugged them in and thought pots needed replacement. This stuff fixed that and saved the selector switch on my Strat.

It just works! Very little goes a long way!

DeoxIT is fantastic stuff! I only wish that I had bought the spray. If you are a musician or work with electronics, you should have some on hand. Don't buy cheap tuner spray! I bought some RS brand once, it was full of oil, and it ruined my T.V. Trust my decades of experience - don't buy anything but DeoxIT!

Visibly dissolves the oxidation. Then you start cleaning the contacts and the cotton buds come back all tarnished with removed substance. After cleaning I wiped everything with IPA.

This stuff is insanely effective. It’s expensive but it works. I recently saved a $1000 Fluke meter that had battery leakage damage (invisible) on the terminals and this stuff fixed it - this is AFTER I used normal contact cleaner and emery cloth. Neither of those things worked at all. DeoxIT saved the day.
