Kitchen Grips Chef's Mitt, Large, Cherry/Black

My second pair. First lasted for years. They are too big for small hands. better than towels for maneuvering pans and sheets.

I bought these to replace a very old pair of similar material and construction, which had become all-time favorites. These are as good as the originals. Easy to use and clean, providing an excellent grip for removing hot articles from ovens and cooktops, I've come to prefer this type of mitt to all others. One reviewer had expressed concerns about safety and being burned. I have never experienced a problem with mine, nor ever been burned while using these. There can be some slight heat transfer directly along the stitched area, but not enough to cause a burn, and one's hand would only ever encounter the stitched area if the mitt were put on somewhat awkwardly. I have happened to do that a couple of times over many years, and had noticed some heat then, but it hadn't caused concern. These are a great mitt--the grip they provide is so secure that I never worry that anything will slip and they offer excellent protection from burns.

Got these to replace a pair by the same company. I had the old pair for 9 years and used them ALL the time. They finally began to show their age (losing the heat resistant feature when wearing them). Got the newer version and they are doing a good job. As an additional benefit, the tag says "dishwasher top rack safe" - hummm, never thought of throwing them in with the dishes, I just hand/spot cleaned them. Returned the small and got the large for myself/husband to use. Store away flat, out of sight, but handy in a drawer next to the oven. Good choice! I'm happy.

Consists of a thick rubber-like material. Insulates well and is somewhat more flexible than the traditional thicker cloth type. Looks like it will be easier to clean. Inside the glove the cautions label says the following (abbreviated): - not for commercial use - use only the textured crosscut rubber side against hot surfaces [both sides fit that description] - no direct contact with flame - don't put it on stove burner or leave it in the oven - don't immerse in water or liquid [it leaks?]

For very small hands. A great brand.

My previous pair of identical Kitchen Grips lasted for 20. I am happy that I could order replacements! These mits are flexible and protect well, slip resistant and clean easily. I just put dish soap on them and rub the mitts together like washing my hands, then rinse well.

The website says these mitts are heat resistant up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, but the tag on the mitts clearly says it only goes up to 400°. Additionally, this is the third set of these gloves I have purchased as they don't last more than a year without developing heat sensitive spots due to cracking in the material. However, the past mitts fit my small hands so well and worked wonderfully up to that point, so I ordered them again. That was a mistake. The new gloves are smaller, and they are very inflexible. Handling pans from the oven with these would be dangerous in my opinion. I am sending them back as the quality is definitely inferior to what it used to be.

I had the original older model of Kitchen Grips mitts for years, this new design is not flexible, it's stiffer than my old pair. Actually the old model was quite more flexible, the old model had one side of neoprene and one side of silicone. The inside of this new model is slippery, my hands slide and then I have at least an inch away from the top of the fingers which makes it awkward to handle baking sheets or pizza pans and/or baking dishes out of the oven. If the inside wasn't slippery and my hands stayed in place and the material was less stiff these would be awesome.

Hatten auch vorher von der Marke den gleichen Ofenhandschuh. Dieser ist nach 8 Jahren dann kaputt gegangen und an den Nähten langsam aufgerissen. Hält die Wärme super ab und ist qualitativ hochwertig. Dieser hier bekommt allerdings nur 4 Sterne, da er doch etwas schmal für die Hand ist und dies war früher nicht so. Die Handschuhe werden also heutzutage kleiner produziert.

Great product. Large is VERY large. I am size large in a rubber kitchen glove, but in this case a medium would have been a better fit.

Had owned a pair of these before for over 15 years. So this is a replacement pair. They are a bit expensive but really worth it.

These gloves are great but they fit small. Work perfect for the heat
