V60 Drip Coffee Decanter, 700ml, Black

This v60 is beautiful, easy to clean, quality made and reasonably priced. This replaced my of v60 and is one of my favorite now. It looks like a chemex but works better. Also it includes some v60 paper filters and that is a nice detail, so you can start brewing right away.

Look, man, I was a tea drinker for years. Hot water and leaves. Easy. I bought this, needing more caffeine, and enjoyed it. I'd dump in grounds, fill with hot water, and drink a cup, originally, and it did well enough. I was looking for good ratios to get a stronger cup and instead learned how to wet and properly brew grounds. Dude, keurigs and electric drippers aren't even close to this in flavor. Done right, you will wet the filter w hot water, dump grounds (2 tbsp per cup), level them, wet them barely and then let sit for 45 seconds. They shouldn't have a funnel shape to them unless you used too much water and started the brewing process. Use just enough to wet the grounds. If your grounds are clumpy, run a toothpick through the grounds and gently shake to level again. After grounds have bloomed (they go from a bitter flavor to a more subtle sweet and detailed flavor) you can now slowly add water in a spiral pattern. You should use a gooseneck kettle to not disturb the grounds too much. You can time your steps, use a scale, make concentrate instead of coffee and so on, but I am usually half awake when using this. This is what wakes me up after all. It's a thoughtless but mindful ritual. Even at night when I want some coffee, this simple hario draws the flavor out of my decaf beans. It is a two-piece device so it is super easy to rinse off and give a good scrub to every few days. This is overall low maintenance, high quality, able to brew 1-4 cups, is compact, and makes a complex coffee.

For the price you get amazing glassware, a fully functional and integrated v60 brewer and 40 pieces of filter paper included. Amazing value

Five stars because there's not a thing wrong with it and the price is stellar. I was looking for a cheap way to get a pour-over coffee setup in my office and this'll do! BUT I'm still dropping a word of advice for those on the fence about different pour-over options out there... I own the normal Hario v60, an 8-cup Chemex, and then this hybrid Hario thing. The v60 makes perfect sense for brewing for one, two people at the most. It's convenient and even travel friendly. I believe the thinner filter (which you also use for this one) lets more oils through so you can often pick up on more flavor notes than with the Chemex, and you really know when you've just done the perfect pour. The Chemex makes perfect sense for brewing for just about any size group, and produces a more consistent cup of coffee that's more forgiving for beginners due to the thicker filter that kind of slows the flow down compared to Hario filters. You get a very clean cup of coffee with a Chemex, every time and it looks cool too. Then there's this hybrid, that's sort of like a mama v60 and daddy Chemex had a baby. It's cool and there's nothing wrong with it, but I really think everyone should purchase her parents first simply as initial coffee gear essentials.

I'm not new to pour over coffee or a coffee snob either. I am however very glad to have found this decanter and non-metal filter. It's a little larger than I was looking for, but after other failed attempts to replace my favorite decanter that I broke this one is getting the job done. My old set up was cobbled together over the years from bits and pieces of other sets. Aside from this being a little larger, it requires cone filters. I didn't understand the difference until I ordered this. I was also apprehensive of the large hole at the bottom. The plastic filter holder I was using with my old decanter was clearly meant for the wedge type filters easily found at the grocery store. Sadly I can't find any small to medium decanters to fit it. The cone filters seem a bit flimsy to me after using Chemex filters and even the wedge shaped filters from the grocer, but so far, no accidental bursts. I've been careful to not pour the hot water directly in the filter. I only pour it into the coffee. I don't like having to be so picky first thing in the morning when needing the caffein to wake up, but seems the best solution so far. The silicon sleeve was important, as I had one on the old decanter. I initially liked the idea that this one is removeable as my old one was permanently attached, however I did find this one a bit hard to fasten. I'm hoping it loosens up. It's also heavier than the sleeve on my old decanter. As others have mentioned, the filter holder is quite substantial, and has legs in case you want to sit it on a saucer or paper towel before pouring coffee from the carafe which is nice. I had to use a small bowl for my other filter holder. Despite my minor complaints the coffee from this set up is very good. I also purchased a ceramic filter holder that sits directly on a cup and holds a wedge filter as the same time as this purchase. I then washed both, ground fresh beans and made identical size cups from both products. I really thought I'd prefer the other set up but was pleasantly surprised the Hario decanter was the clear winner. The coffee was stronger and had a smoother taste.

This is the third carafe that I have bought in 10 years and I thought it was time to write a review. One broke because the movers inexplicably packed it with an old cannonball my husband uses as a bookend and another got a crack in it after being dropped on a tile floor. This is very durable, easy to use, and attractive. You can clean the entire thing in the dishwasher and the silicone band is easy to pop on and off, unlike the fussy (and expensive) chemex solution. I've taken this camping many times and it is perfect for making coffee for my husband and I in one carafe. We used to use the aeropress for camping coffee, but that only makes one cup at a time and that is a dangerous game first thing in the morning. You have to buy special filters for this which generally cannot be found in stores or even many specialty coffee shops. They see them on Amazon but the prices fluctuate wildly and they are often an add on item, so keep that in mind when shopping.

The glass is very nice, though it feels a little thin. Not cheap feeling but it doesn't give the confidence that it's robust and that one wrong move on a solid material will mean cracking or breaking it The black belt thing is great. It's very smooth and keeps the heat away well and is big enough you can hold it a little carelessly without fear that some skin will touch the hot glass. It's also fairly stretchy so removing it isn't too much of a pain. The plastic funnel is very nice, It doesn't fit perfectly so if move it around you can hear the plastic move around and hit the glass, but the gap isn't massive. You could call that a flaw; but that also means that it's very easy to pick up the plastic funnel and do a swirl while brewing. It feels like quality plastic, has little feat so it can stand on it's own when removed from the decanter, very easy to clean. The glass itself on the outside is easy to clean, but getting a hand though the middle to clean the bottom with a sponge is very hard. Either a bottle cleaner or... hope that what you can manage is good enough, or a dish washer. Though Imo, a little rinse after use is good enough for a while. As for making coffee, well, I suppose that depends on you and your technique. It's made me very good coffee and I'm very happy to have it.

I have only words of adoration for this product, first: the presentation, it comes so well packed, so organized in a nice box. The glass decanter is impeccable, as well as the V60 material and shape, and it comes with some awesome paper filters that fit just right. And it even has a belt thingy to grab the glass while it's hot, and that thing is absolutely necessary, helps a LOT. But the most important... the taste of the final coffee after you make it, it's just fantastic, I followed James Hoffman V60 Technique using 500ml water with 30g of coffee and it came out delicious, in fact, he even recommends using this exact same product, and I'm so GLAD I did. Just remember to use good quality coffee beans and grinder, doesn't have to be expensive, just some coffee that is GOOD and well known in your area.

The Hario V60 Glass Decanter is a beautiful and well-designed piece of coffee gear. The glass is sturdy and heat-resistant, and the silicone band gives a secure grip while pouring. It works perfectly with standard V60 filters and allows for great control over the brewing process. Cleaning is easy, and the minimalist design looks great on the counter. My only small gripe is that the glass feels a bit thin, so it requires careful handling, and it doesn’t retain heat for very long. Still, it’s an excellent choice for pour-over enthusiasts who value both function and aesthetics.

Aşırı lezzetli kahveler demledim. Fakat kağıdı orijinal aynı marka almanız gerekiyor. Farklı marka kağıtlarla tam uyumlu değil. 2 numara almama rağmen cook kağıtlarım tam oturmadı. Orijinal kağıdı da biraz pahalı. Ama ne olursa olsun iyi zamanlama ve oran yaparsanız mükemmel lezzete hazır olun

Lekker simpel en van goede kwaliteit, zeker voor deze prijs. In het begin even juiste verhouding zoeken, wat in de handleiding aangegeven staat vond ik te sterk. Heb de dripper nu ruim 1 jaar, gebruik het bijna dagelijks en ben er nog steeds heel blij mee.

Ayant eu plusieurs équipement Hario, je trouve que ce dripper est le meilleur rapport qualité-prix et le plus simple et pratique à utiliser & stocker. Une valeur sûre. Le goutteur est en plastique, donc léger, facile à manipuler, pratiquement incassable, ne nécessite pas de préchauffage contrairement au céramique. La carafe est en verre suffisamment épais, donc c'est assez solide. Elle est plus grande que sa capacité, ce qui à l'usage est en fait assez pratique (même si ce sont des détails) : on peut facilement tapoter sur la partie haute pour bien répartir le café, et elle est également très facile à laver car la forme est simple et ample. Après, le goutteur en plastique est peut-être pas ce qu'il y a de plus esthétique, même si c'est très pratique. Et le café refroidit assez vite dans la carafe : il vaut mieux le boire assez vite ou utiliser un thermos :)
