leftover rejects from the canning facility?!
i was looking for soft flavorful roasted tomatoes to use on a salad/appetizer i was recreating from a restaurant. these were mostly the stem portion of the tomato and skins! they were tough and while I did end up trimming every single piece, i am only probably going to be able to purée them and add them to a sauce sometime. not buying again. the flavor of the oil they’re in was flavored nicely, so this was very disappointing.
