Amazon Brand – Pinzon Signature 190-Gram Cotton Heavyweight Velvet Flannel Pillowcases, Standard, Floral Smoky Blue

These are excellent quality. I was initially trying to find the most cheaply priced flannel sheets/pillowcases possible, as I didn't realize that there was a differing quality in flannel. I have not used flannel sheets much, so just assumed flannel is flannel. I noticed considerable differences in the prices of various sets of flannel sheets/pillowcases. So, I decided to do a little bit of research before purchasing. I have discovered, based on people's reviews on Amazon and other sites, that you really do get what you pay for with this particular thing. I read the reviews on the cheaply priced sets, and MANY people complained about the quality, stating that after a few washes the fabric pilled (which I HATE the feel of on sheets or pillowcases!), and that they could see through where the fabric started wearing thin almost immediately, etc. I read the reviews on Amazon for this set of pillowcases, as well as the sets of sheets that we purchased, and they seemed to have very good reviews about the quality. They were more expensive than the other sets, but seem to last people quite a long time, so we decided to cast our lot and try them out. I washed them a few times, to remove any residual chemicals left on the finish, and I have to say that I am very impressed with these sheets. The sheets arrived literally just in time before the ice storm hit here, so my children had snug, warm, soft sheets to snuggle into that night. These pillowcases and the sets of sheets are incredibly soft (and I do mean baby soft!), thick enough that I don't think we'll be seeing any issues with being threadbare, and are very warm. They fit the mattress/pillows perfectly, and are a really lovely colour of cream. I highly recommend these, and can't wait for the ones for our bed to arrive!! Definitely worth paying extra money for, as the ones that are cheaper are definitely not this nice, as I have used cheap sets before...I never realized there was such a quality difference with this fabric, but these sheets are truly scrumptious!

I love Flannel sheets and pillow cases for Winter. This brand reminds me of the quality of sheets from decades ago. There is nothing quite as nice as stepping out of a warm bath, into PJ's, and into a warm bed. Regular Cotton is great for when the Seasons are warm and the nights are hot. But in Winter they are cold to slip into. I can't use foot warmers and Electric Blankets as they make my legs ache, so I'm happy to say I don't have to suffer a cold bed. These are really nice, soft, warm and well made pillow cases. My Daughter is stuck on them now after spending the night here. I actually sleep better being able to turn without having to keep my knees bent to avoid the freezing end of the bed. These also wash and dry without any wrinkles whatsoever. There is the usual bit of fluff with the first wash, but it's very little and shakes off. These are a wonderful gift for anyone who lives in a cold climate.

This review was written for the sheet set, but I bought an extra pair of pillow cases because I keep 4 pillows on the bed. Oh. My. Goodness. These sheets and pillowcases are wonderful. I received them yesterday, and washed them twice before using them. I just put them on the bed. (BTW, I always wash sheets to get the smell of whatever that is that they finish new things with, but these sheets had very little odor even before washing). They wash beautifully and dry faster than you would expect, with very few wrinkles, especially for 100% cotton. They are PERFECTLY square and the edges are even when folded. The hems are beautifully done, all the way around the sheet and pillow cases. They fit a 14" thick mattress with room left over, but they are tight and smooth on the bed. They are thick and luxurious, and I'll bet my husband will not complain of being cold any more. I am beyond pleased with this purchase. I ordered Cream color, and find it to be exactly my idea of what Cream should look like.

I absolutely can't say enough about the softness and quality of this product. So soft - a pleasure to touch and lay on with sensitive skin! And to keep you warm and comfy on chilly nights, they just can't be compared to anything else I have ever purchased! Truly reminds me of luxurious bedding in a 5 star hotel. I've bought both sheets and pillowcases in a variety of pattern and color options. They are simply the best I have found and I can't believe how well made they are for the price. After several washings, they hold up with no fading and no balling on the fabric that I have seen on much less quality flannel. Just pick your colors/patterns now - These make wonderful gifts too! I highly recommend this product.

I wanted cozy flannel sheets for the colder months, but decided to try out the pillowcases before I bought the whole sheet set for seventy dollars. They are made well, with a soft, thick flannel fabric that feels nice next to skin. They wash well, too. The reason I took off a star was that for this price, these pillowcases should have come with ties or a fold-over flap so that both ends look neat and the pillow inside isn't visible. I've had cheaper pillowcases with one or the other of these features, and it just makes sense to have that. Also - be aware that if you shed hair a lot, these pillowcases will hold onto it - all of it. I have to use a lint roller every day when making the bed to address this. This is not a defect in the product - it is just what flannel does. Perhaps a darker color wouldn't show the hairs as much (but they will still be there!). Probably won't purchase the whole sheet set for this reason. These are made in Portugal. Apparently Pinzon is an Amazon brand.

After much hesitancy, I finally decided to order flannel sheets back in December. Checking Amazon's offerings and reviews, I purchased the Pinzon sets for our king bed. A few reviews mentioned pilling and loads of lint after drying and a few reviews mentioned fuzz balls on the bedroom carpet. So, I was a tad hesitant after experiencing similar unpleasant wear from previous flannel sheets ordered over the years from reliable merchants. Well, I must recommend the Pinzon brand --- we have been using these wonderfully comfortable and cozy sheets all the time with bi-weekly washings in cold water; I wash them separately thinking that my washer may be overloaded trying to put the pillowcases and the 2 large sheets in just one load. There was some lint after laundering 2 or 3 times but there is NO pilling or fading and no fuzz balls on the carpet. The sheets are as smooth as when we first placed them on the bed. We always wash our sheets before using them since the factory may have them draped on the floor and we love the aroma from the fabric softener in the laundry. The sheets are not excessively heavy and provide just the perfect warmth for a restful night's sleep and we live in Florida! We are so delighted with them, I plan to purchase another set in the fall.

Very nice, high quality flannel sheet set. Very soft and velvety feel to the touch. Fits nicely around my over sized, deep pocket mattress and pillows. Elastic runs around full perimeter and the fitted sheet stays put on the mattress with no slippage. Gives that "ohh, ahhh" feeling when you scrunch down into these new sheets. When you handle the sheets, you can feel the higher quality. The 190 gram sheets have a heavy, soft, velvety feel to them. There is no pilling of the brushed flannel as yet. Washing and placing in electric dryer did not shrink sheets, they fit on bed as before laundering. I used fabric softener in wash and dryer sheet in dryer, sheets came out feeling soft and not scatchy as is sometimes noticed with flannel sheets of lesser quality. After purchase I went back and order a second set in different color. Terrific on cooler nights.

These are truly amazing flannel sheets. They are really heavyweight and velvety to the touch. I am replacing LL Bean flannel sheets with these and these Pinzon ones are really nicer than the LL Bean ones. Really! They washed up beautifully and are now our number one sheets. The velvet touch is wonderful and so comfortable to sleep in. The price is pefectl. I was ready to pay much more, but I think I would not have gotten the nice quality as these. They are a good size and fit the bed well (14 in sides on our bed) You will not go wrong with these.

I have bought several sets, different colours, different beds. Durable quality, soft, thick, cozy, and colour stays true through multiple washes. I would recommend and will buy them again if/when I have a need to.
