Do you have to apply this to the boat out of the water or are you able to change sides while the boat is in the water?

It is super easy to switch from side to side and to install it in the water. You can put it on while floating in the water or by simply leaning over the side of the boat.

does it work on a 1994 ski nautique and where to install?

Yes. You’ll want it on the opposite side of the surfer, as far back and as low as possible. We also recommend ballast for the best wave.

will this work on the 2016 scarab 215

If you can send me pic of boat where it would sit under water I can tell you. I had to send it back I have a mastercraft and it has a ridge where it would mount and would not work. All my friends that have a smooth place to mount it says it works great
