Great Knives
These are great knives for all sorts of things. Mostly used to thinly slice tomato’s but also used to cut sourdough bread. Much easier and less effort than a bread knife. Cuts evenly. These knives are extremely sharp. Over time used for over a year now and they remain sharp. But not so sharp that you easily cut yourself. The knives are made to last and are good quality, versatile and we use both of them regularly. One is dirty and we use the other one for something different.I would recommend these to anyone wanting a small but sharp knife to use for a variety of kitchen and food related uses.

Bread knife
This is a lovely bread knife, cake knife etc. it is sharp enough to cut unsliced loaves with ease & the handle is comfortable to hold. The handle is a lovely colour of red which matches the red accents on the tiles of my kitchen. It’s a strong knife & will last. Not too expensive but certainly not cheap & nasty.

Victorinox = Excellence!
For anyone with no experience of Victorinox knives; they make the original, official, Swiss Army Knife as well as a range of other pocket and kitchen knives; all from the highest quality cutlery stainless steel and are exceedingly sharp.I have a number of Victorinox kitchen knives, some very well used and all very sharp, so I had the highest expectations of this one. Comes in a stout cardboard sleeve which is perfect for keeping it in so its edge doesn't get damaged. Wide but thin blade with the serrated edge ground on the right-hand side, so it cuts flat and straight for a right-handed person.Out of its sleeve, washed with care (fingers away from the edge) and tested on a two-day old Lidl cob loaf (7" diameter) with the crust gone rather leathery - cut two ¼" thick, even, slices effortlessly! I expect this bread knife to be equally good at carving ham.It may seems to be an expensive bread knife, but for a tool that I'll use every day, it's well worth the price. Wish I'd splashed out on one years ago.Durability? I have had a 'Swiss Officer's' knife that has lived in the pocket of my work trousers for over 30 years. The plastic grips look a bit well-used, but it all works perfectly and the blades' edges get honed every few months to keep them very sharp. "Dad's trusty Swiss Army Knife" has come to the rescue many times - though it's become "Grandad's..."

Beat bread knife ever
I was looking doe a good affordable knife to cut my favourite sourdough bread and I found it.

Great blade
Excellent blade. Cuts really easily. It makes it easy to cut thin slices of bread. The handle is comfortable. It looks cheap, but the cost seems to have gone into the blade. If you want a good working knife at a reasonable cost it's the one for you, if you want a knife to look good on a display probably not.

Cuts bread, like a charm

Slices through the hardest crusts like butter!
We bake a lot of crusty sourdough, and cheaper knives usually 'crush' the loaf before they cut it. This Victorinox blade is professional-grade; the serrated edge is exceptionally sharp and long enough to slice a large loaf in one clean motion. The handle is ergonomic and provides a very secure grip, which is vital when applying pressure to a hard crust. It’s an incredibly easy-to-use, high-quality tool that belongs in every kitchen. Five stars!

Superb knife for bread - would highly recommend

Probably the best knife "value-for-money" there is to cut bread
All classic Victorinox knives are light-weight but they are all very ergonomic, very sharp, affordable for the quality, and with long lasting edges. I learnt about these knives while living with an Italian chef and he had a collection of them. Before, I used to buy other brands, and thought that good knives had to be Japanese and in the 200+ range; I was wrong, Victorinox offers these knives at a fraction of the price but with the same blade as some of the best knives in the market. If you have tools to sharpen them (I do), I would expect these knives to last forever very sharp...

Very nice bread, knife
This is a great bread knife. It’s very sharp and it does what it needs to do. The price was excellent also.
User
Good Bread Knife and Sharp!
Great bread knife. Cuts my bread like tofu. However, this thing is sharp! Cut myself the very first time I used it. So, be careful when using it.
