I've been using the UltiClip Slim 3.3 for my knife sheath, and it has exceeded my expectations. It's slim, well made, and provides a very secure hold without needing a belt. It clips firmly to my waistband/pocket and doesn't shift or come loose during daily use. Installation was simple with the included hardware, and the overall quality is excellent. I bought one of these about six months ago to convert a small sheath knife into a pocket knife. I purchased a kydex after market sheath as the original was leather and added the clip. I recently purchased a second one as the original worked so well. This clip is pretty small, but they make multiple sizes. I originally purchased an XL and considering returning it, but the price is reasonable for the quality and I am sure I will use it on some other piece of gear in the future. That said the size differences are pretty drastic so make sure to get a measurement or reasonable idea of what you want. The spring inside the clip is very tight to start with, so you will want to consider that if you have smaller or weaker hands. It will break in, but potentially not before it hurts you, so keep that in mind. If giving to a spouse or as a gift you might want to open and close it a bunch and I would use a screwdriver instead of a finger to get it broken in. Additionally, depending on how you attach the clip (it comes with screws), you will have to check and make sure it does not “wiggle” free with use. You could always put some Locktight on the screws if you have an issue with that, but I wouldn’t count on getting the screws out ever again without stripping them. They are average quality at best and probably won’t take the abuse of being removed. Overall these are great add ons for a wide variety of gear and they hold up really well.

Bombproof clip and excellent customer service. My daily situation requires a fixed blade knife, but no belt. This is the perfect solution. I used it every day, all day, for two months without fail and suddenly it wouldn't lock. I thought it was defective or misaligned and had worn out, so I contacted customer service. Within minutes I had a reply stating that I had been issued a full refund, but that most likely I had damaged the clip by closing it on something overly thick (which I had not) or that it simply needed to be oiled. I told them thank you, but what they said didn't really sink in. I just went and immediately ordered a replacement because I truly believed my first clip was simply defective. Then I started thinking, what if it does just need some oil...decades of repairing literally everything that has broken for me or my family and lubrication never crossed my mind. I applied a drop of oil to each pivot point and let it drip across the clamping mechanism and everything was as good as new, in fact, I'm wearing it now. I'm happy I ordered a second one for future use, and I don't have any way to give the refund back, so I'm writing this review. Thank you guys! Don't forget to oil your clips every once in a while! They have instructions on their site.

Nothing is wrong with the clip it is very sturdy and definitely grips on extremely well. It didn’t quite do what I wanted to do with it but that is not the clips fault. I would recommend to anyone looking for a little tough clip.

Great addition to any fixed blade carry. Sits very secure in the picks and lays flat.

Super strong clip. I cut off the lower mount section, 'cause it was too long for my project, but the quality and materials are great.

Works like a champ! Will be using these from now on when adding clips to sheaths and holsters.
