Hyper Pet Replacement Doggie Tail Grey - REPLACEMENT COVER ONLY

My daughter has a young pitbull that chews. A lot. On everything. I took away one star for durability because the cover really doesn't last very long. I took one star off for longevity simply because you go through a lot of batteries with this. So, Mocha loves this toy. It's honestly the only toy to last more than a few days, other than the cover. That was a couple hours at best, but replacements are available. They're a little expensive simply because they really don't last long. But dang does it provide action for our dog and laughs for us! She picks it up and flips her head, throwing it into the air to smash down on our wood floors. She pounces on it and chases it across the room. Occasionally she'll hit the on-off switch with a tooth and it stops working. She shakes her head. She tosses it around. She brings it over drops it in my lap to fix for her. I turn it on and she dances around with it. She's a pretty big dog. Her nose is tabletop height, so she's been trained to never take anything off the table. One day I heard her whimpering and found her sitting and staring at the tabletop. One of her flips had landed the ball on the table. She was literally shaking from the desire to reach up and grab her toy. Now for a tip for using this. The covers are attractive, but if you have single sock you can slide it down to the toe, tie a knot, and let your dog have fun.

Great durable replacement that you will want to have. I dog afraid, other dog absolutely loves it. Good chew resistance. Great quality & tons of fun.

Bailey is a toy destroyer and quickly bores of some toys but this one she is captivated by. I had to replace the cover fairly quickly because she tore it up. If your dog chews up toys, the crab cover most likely won’t last long. The dog tail cover lasts longer with my dog. Volume control might be helpful in next designs. Update: holding up and it’s still her favorite toy. Durable!

UPDATE: I finally had to replace the whole toy since the first started to rattle really badly and eventually stopped bouncing. I went with the crab this time and was surprised that it made a different noise! I don't know which is worse, the sad cry or the ear-piercing squeel of the scuttle crab. My dog loves it though, so I'll live with it. And the stitching is much better than the monster! The toy itself is wonderful. After a few years as a favorite for my small dog, the elastic on the tail was wearing out. I ordered a replacement cover and loved the idea of all the extra arms on the alien version to give her little mouth options to grab it. Barely a month later, the stitching is coming out in at least 3 places including the embroidery and a main seam. Surprisingly, all the arms that I thought she'd chew off first are still intact.

My dog loved her ball but with this cover it became a whole new toy to her. Very durable

I love the idea of this toy, but my dog has gone through two covers in the last MONTH. I initially purchased this toy with the squirrel cover. She chewed through the edges cover where the material joins. The tail came off a day later. I noticed some material in her poo. The alien one (shown in the picture), has lasted a little longer only because I allow her to play only a few times a day. This product would be amazing if it were made with a durable non-chew material.

The barking tails are hit with my dogs. I've bought the covers to replace the ones because we play so hard. But we needed some new ones. This has to be my very favorite dog toy. The first one I received didn't bark it chirped today. I received another one that doesn't bark it chirps. I can't return the second one because they want to charge me 799 for UPS to pick it up and I don't live anywhere near UPS store to have it dropped off. I've been buying these for years. My dog loves them, but I don't think I would be buying them anymore.

This I recommend for anyone with a puppy who is a busy body. It keeps our pup, active and busy, giving us a well needed break. It goes through batteries quite often and we’ve had to order replacements for the outer soft tissue as our pup shoes
