I chose this brand because I still have mine from high school and it’s in perfect condition. Very high quality! Review: Just What I Needed AND Wanted - This is not my first Dakine backpack. I liked the first one because it fit under an airplane seat nicely, but the front pocket was awkward and there was nowhere to put a water bottle. This also fits under the seat but has not one, but two easy-to-access pockets that don't hold me up in the TSA precheck line. And I love the color. My carryon is "Begonia" pattern, and for a while Dakine had a color called "Dark Rose" that went well with it. Problem was, "Dark Rose" photographed a lot lighter than its real color, which is a deep, claret-wine shade. THIS is really that sort of dark rose/coral shade, and it still blends nicely with my carryon bag. The only negative for me was that it doesn't have a strap in back that slips over a suitcase handle - but I sewed one on. Now it's absolutely perfect. Lovelovelove it.

Best backpacks

Love Dakine products!
I needed a smaller backpack for an upcoming trip. This is the perfect size! It is the high quality that I expect from this brand. It's also sturdy and stylish. It will easily fit my handbag, snacks and Kindle with room for a few other things. The straps are wide and comfortable. Great addition to my collection of Dakine travel gear!

Worst Dakine backpack I have ever purchased
I have faithfully used Dakine backpacks through many, many years. This is the worst I have ever purchased. The material feels very cheap and it is pretty thin. Has Dakine declined in quality? Additionally, through the vender I used, I paid $11 to have it shipped and then had to pay another $6 to return it. This has been a total waste of time and money. The packback was cheaper than the Amazon,Inc. offerings but untimely with the shipping cost I not only saved nothing and it has actually cost me more to even look at this item.

Durable and cute
This is the perfect size for me. I use it as my carry on back pack when I fly. The straps are very comfortable. The zippers are strong. I love the gorgeous tropical flowers. They’re not just the basic hibiscus and plumeria. Someone actually took the time and added in puakenikeni, tiare etc

WORTH THE $$$
THIS BACK PACK WAS SMALLER THAN I WAS USE TOO. HOWEVER, AFTER MY 1ST TRIP THIS LITTLE GUY SUPRISED ME WITH ITS DURABILITY AND THE SPACE AND COMPARTMENTS IT OFFERS. I WAS ABLE TO FIT MY 17" LAPTOP/CABLE INSIDE WITH HEADPHONES, LIGHT JACKET AND OTHER PERSONAL ITEMS AS WELL. VERY IMPRESSED WITH DAKINE AS THEY HAVE BEEN MAKING DURABLE PRODUCTS FOR YEARS WHICH I'VE ENJOYED. DAKINE IS SECOND TO NONE AND WHEN I SAW THIS BACK PACK WAS ONE OF THEIR PRODUCTS I DID NOT HESITATE TO PURCHASE IT. VERY HAPPY WITH MY LITTLE TRAVEL BUDDY!!!
