Can you stick these to the inside of your clothing where the heating pad is against your skin but the adhesive part is attached to your shirt?

You'll have to test this. It can be quite hot against your skin, especially if just applied. It does work if your shirt is not tight to your skin and you are not resting against it, like when sitting in a chair. I will definitely do this if the pad is no longer at full strength. I can sleep on it when it is pressed to the outside of a sleep garment, and then attach it on the inside of a shirt the next day, as it is still warm for quite a few hours but no longer HOT. One hint here - only pull off one of the two adhesive strips. Save the other one to attach to a different garment if you change clothes. My pain is mostly lower back, so I will usually attach it to the inside of my waistband, between my pants and underwear. It really does help.

Is there any way to stop the heat, like if you need to take it off for a prolonged period?

To stop the action, seal them in an appropriately sized plastic bag such as a sandwich or snack size. I mean the ones with the sealable opening. Before sealing push out as much air as possible. I have done after about 2 hours of use, and reused them a few days later. The heat is from a slow reaction that requires oxygen, so once the limited oxygen in the sealed bag is exhausted, the reaction stops until reopened.

I have not try this up against the skin. I place it on the outside of a tee shirt then put my hunting clothes on over. It keeps my back warm all day.

Great for days when your outside or in a cold hockey rink

Not effective

These are not effective. They’re as warm as putting your own hand on the area you want to warm. The backside has adhesive and doesn’t take in oxygen which is why these are barely warm. The hand warmers are much better and work. I’ve used both in the Army and I don’t recommend the body warmers. Save your money and instead, go for the hand warmers. Do not buy the body warmers.

Does the job!

Work great. Use them for cramps, nausea and keeping warm in the chilly and cold seasons. I use for all three. Great for outdoor sporting events… especially, for lacrosse which starts in February and I live in the northeast.

These don't work! Amended... good customer service!

Tried two of these thinking the first was defective. Neither warms much above body temperature. Useless and a waste of money!! Company contacted me and is sending replacement items. I chose the large warmers instead. I had kept one for the lot number and they are paying to return it to figure what is wrong.
