Is it the right tool for 2014 Honda Odyssey rotor bolt?

I have no experience with the Honda Odyssey only Honda Motorcycles but I can tell you that every fastener on a Honda is a Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) fastener and they are slightly different than their American counterparts. To summarize...if you have the right JIS tool bit then the this impact tool is a fabulous impact tool. Read the instructions carefully and it should do what you want. Use JIS hardened steel bits.

So does this impact work well for american philips screws, or only jis? and is the rubber grip effective at keeping your hands safe from the hammer?

JIS bits work well with Phillips screws. The opposite is not true because a Phillips bit will not seat fully into the JIS screw head. The rubber grip is better than nothing, but it's not going to stop you from whacking yourself with the hammer.

Do the bits conform to the jis b4633 standard or to the newer jis standard?

I am not sure of the difference or even that the Japanese standard had changed. Sorry.
