It is very sturdy and seals air tight and water proof. I use to hold grain in for our donkeys so it stays in our barn. Dogs would not be able to bite through it but over time with biting it or chewing at a spot I'm sure it would wear in spots. Hope that helps a little bit.

How big is the opening?

I have the 25 lb size and the opening is 8-1/2. It is 10" tall with lid on and 12" square.

Why are these question and answers coming from all the different sizes of the containers? They should be grouped by size.

When you order it, you have the option of size. So everyone who orders it has bought a certain size.

Anyone else have an issue with their vittle vault jr.(4lb container) not coming with a scoop? description says it is supposed to come with one.

Mine didnt either. The vittles vault 15lb i ordered didnt come with one either and it was in description as well. That scoop was 1 one the main reasons i ordered this model. Do you know if we need to get in touch with manufacturer?
