The Club 1103 LX Series Steering Wheel Lock, Silver

Nothing like a good old school Club to protect your car. And if course if needed, it's also good for bashing heads if anyone causes you any trouble. But it's rock-solid and the two pieces move smoothly as you're getting the right length. Can't go wrong with the Club! Nice color too.

I have been using an original Club since 1998. I used it to protect my Miata while I was in California, then used it to protect my Miata and other cars when I moved to France. I recently moved back from Paris to Colorado, and, although my original Club was as good as new, I decided to give it to my neighbor for his MG. The Club LX comes in red, blue or chrome. I was hoping that the chrome really was chrome, and not some silver, sparkly paint. I'm happy to confirm that it is chrome. The bar is covered with a clear-plastic sheath. The keys have changed. Now they are the "European dimpled, house-key" kind. These are much harder to duplicate. The other difference I noticed (versus the original Club) is that the bar automatically locks in place as you extend it, so you no longer need to use your key to lock it. The Club LX seems to be very well-made -- even better that the original. The old version had keys that could be copied, although it was never a problem for me. I never had any thefts in America, but in Paris my cars were broken into a half-dozen times (in spite of alarm + Club), but my car was never stolen. The Club is easy to use, and it works. UPDATE: A year later, I'm still very happy with this Club, but the clear-plastic sheath has discolored and deformed from the heat and sunlight. It still looks OK, but not great.

"If someone wants to take it, they will" Yes, that statement rings true. However, this item is used to deter would be car thieves out for a simple joyride, so that they move on to an easier target. This item is easy to install and easy to remove once you get the hang of it. I used it with the key access facing the dashboard. Makes it a bit more challenging for those who have power or lock picking tools to try and defeat it. I like the weight of it, signaling that it will take some time if someone want to saw it. The bright red color makes it easy to see and would-be thieves will more than likely move on. This item gives another level of challenge for the joyrider thief to move on.

This is the one you want—solid, well made, and works great. A low-tech gizmo that stumps high tech thieves.

I use this in conjunction with "the shield" (to protect the steering wheel from being cut) to act as a deterrent for an old 90's honda accord. I was borrowing a relative's "original club" before this, and must say that I do like the LX version better, for the most part. The LX is quite a bit longer than the original club, which makes it more of a nuisance to deal with for any troublemakers. The thickness of the rod is a bit thinner, but I actually think this is an improvement too, as it gives less leverage for someone to try to break the steering wheel lock. Weight wise, I would say the LX is only slightly heavier than the original club. I like that the key design is non-standard as this means it would be pretty difficult to lockpick. It may take a bit of practice, and the "suggested" position may not work on your steering wheel depending on its design, but I've found a few ways it worked well for me. As others mentioned, it comes with a weird slightly sticky residue... I wiped it down with some 'goo gone' to take care of that and now it's fine. The red color did stain the rag I was using to wipe it down with...so when you're doing that make sure you're not using a nice towel or anything, ha. I also do not think the vinyl/plastic coating is as nice as the original club.. the original club's was thicker, sturdier, and felt less tacky. I also really dislike the plastic casing on the top of the keys it comes with - the original came in all metal, which provided a slimmer profile in the pocket and was more sturdy feeling. However, these are small annoyances and not enough for me to consider another product. Overall, this is definitely worth getting (along with the shield) to make your car a little less appealing to car thieves.

This club is very quick and easy to use. It offers security, a theft deterrent, and peace of mind. With auto thefts on the rise I purchased this after one of my coworkers had their car broken into in the office parking lot. Their SUV was almost stolen but the thieves were interrupted and ran away but they caused $3,000.00 of damage to the ignition system. I think just seeing the club on the wheel is a visual deterrent to most thieves as they won't want to take the time to have to disable it.

Came fast. upon opening the package all the parts worked fine. comes with 3 keys. I added some silicon spray lube to make sure it will continue to have a smooth operation. Feels good solid quality. hopefully will be a good deterrent. Can't give this item more than 4 stars as it has not seen action...

Excellent Club for car thefts. Little heavy but that’s what one should use for theft. Very satisfied. Will buy another one for a family member.

This is quite a heavy steering wheel lock with what appears to be a very secure key design. It is a little long to be fitted vertically due to the proximity of the windscreen and we use it in the horizontal position on the steering wheel. It can be extended to fit onto the steering wheel without using the key, which is always required to remove it. We are pleased with it and the way it functions.

The key design is unique. No protruding teeth so it feels OK in the hand or pocket. It doesn’t look easy to pick the lock. The installation is extremely easy. I’m rural on a farm, so I don’t use the lock unless I go to the city, therefore I don’t keep the lock key with my keyless entry/start fob. Since you don’t need a key to install the lock, I have to make sure the key is with me before I install it. The lock comes with 3 keys, one goes in my pocket, one stays at home and one hidden deep in my truck in case I loose my pocket key in the store, theatre, etc. Well built and solid. Good visual deterrence to theft. Highly recommend.

Great anti theft steering wheel lock. This is the one to buy. Had one for 8 years, works perfect. Looks new. Bought one for my daughter .
