How “bright” is bright classic gold? I bought something similar but it was more of a dull golden bronze although the bottle said “classic gold”.

I do not know but I do like it. I have purchased a couple bottles . For the price do you believe there would be gold in any form in it ?

For touching up some scratched spots on a shiny brass chandelier would I do the brass or the gold? How dark is the brass?

Gold is more yellow based than the brass. It is not a high shine finish, rather a rich gold tone.

Does this need a top coat? Or sealant to prevent chipping?

I have not yet used this product, but have read in reviews that various clear topcoats tend to alter the color.
