So far so good.
So far so good. Using it to power a 55 lb thrust trolling motor on my kayak. I have the pwm in a small project box, that's not much bigger than the unit, and although it gets warm when run on full throttle for several minutes, it seems to dissipate the heat pretty quickly. My Bluetooth battery meter says at full throttle I'm drawing about 40 amps and about 20-25 amps when I'm trolling. Added a dead man switch to kill the power incase I fall off. I have used it about a dozen times this summer for 6-8 hour fishing trips and have had no problems. Time will tell. I know heat is the number one killer of these things but venting the enclosure on kayak, where it could get wet, seems like a bad idea.

Problems to start but works great now
This switches the positive side for forward and reverse so to speak and I needed the negative side switched so I had to add relays. It also was missing the knob for the potentiometer. And finally the nut for the potentiometer found it's way under the cover during shipping and created a dead short on the first fire up.

Failed at half capacity.
Giving it 2 stars because it did work for a few hours but likely a mosfet shorted out as I have continuity between the motor leads. But for a 60 amp rated pwm failing at max of 30 is a bit frustrating. Im going to look at less cheap options. Buy cheap buy twice.

A cheap mistake.
This product doesnโt make installation easy. The wires will com apart easily. The one I got had a damaged connection point on the battery connection. The digital read out to determine what percentage of the motor Iโm using is very weak in that it wonโt stay connected. The price of it proves they didnโt put much thought to the buyer for simplicity. But my determination and skill modified it to make it work even though I should never had bought it.

Thus far this DC motor speed controller works great. As an amateur radio operator who likes to configure his own antennae system โ This is precisely what I needed to slow the rotational speed of an existing set-up I have and it works great, rated to 60A (100A max), the included potentiometer works well, as does the display and the switch. It is also well-priced and I could not be happier with it. 5 out of 5 stars. I hope this review his helpful to you. PS; I found the variable voltage from 200 millivolts (mV) DC to the full 55-volt DC maximum was very โsmoothโ.

Good speed controller.
Please see my disclaimer for Vine provided items at the end of this review. This speed controller works fine. I have only used it for a 100w brushed motor, so I've not been able to test the maximum rated capabilities. For the load I ran, it worked very well. There is a very small delay when adjusting the speed, but it is really close to near instant speed change. And the controller did not seem to mind constant or random adjustments through the whole range. Speed remained consistent after setting to a specified level, and the actual load speed seemed to be consistent when adjusting to the same speed number on the display. So I would say the controller is good for repeatability. The controller assembly is a bit messy. The forward/backward switch is routed out of the back end, while the rest of the interface and connections are on the front. The display is connected via 10 individual jumper wires, which does not feel very robust. I would probably glue the bundle of jumper wire connectors together if I planned on using this controller outside of an enclosure. But it is probably best suited for installation in an enclosure or device. I have put over 6hrs of runtime (maybe more, I've not timed every use) with an input of 12v running up to 100w output and random speeds inbetween without issue. Will this controller handle the full 60A and 100A peak as claimed? I can not say for certain. It has proved to be reliable for my intended purposes so far. Price is a little high for this type of controller compared to other similar units on the market. Pricing seems to be in the $15-24 range (on Amazon). I'm sure you could source a similar unit for cheaper in other markets. Value is acceptable for what you get here. Nice DC PWM speed controller!!
It works great, it's a nice little DC motor speed controller. It has a convienent speed display as well as a reverse/On off switch. I tested it out and it works as it should. It is a small box and would be easy to install anywhere. There is no noise or coil whine coming from the box. It's also pretty durable with its metal exterior. Ide Recommend it!!

Tinker friendly speed regulator
Tinkering with a new motor usually means figuring out how to actually control the spin before mounting anything else. This PWM speed controller sits right between your power source and the drive, giving you a dial to set the pace and a bright digital readout that tracks exactly where things stand. Wiring it up felt straightforward enough for a casual weekend build, even if the physical layout threw me off at first glance. The enclosure is remarkably light. It relies on a thin metal shell that keeps the internals safe but lacks any real muscle. It bends under normal hand pressure, and I honestly wonder how well it handles drops in a busy workbench. I peeled off the thin outer plastic wrap just to be safe about heat dissipation, though that might have been unnecessary. The biggest frustration came when trying to secure the wires. The connection pins for the switches and display are extremely fragile and will bend if you accidentally yank or bend them. You might want to brace those terminals before locking everything down. Also, since the input and output connectors exit from opposite ends of the box, routing the wires cleanly takes a bit of patience. Performance tells a different story. I ran the attached motor at half throttle to full load for nearly four straight hours. The controller stayed cool to the touch the entire time and kept a steady hum free operation. The potentiometer turned smoothly. The motor will not start unless both the main switch and the direction switch are engaged. The display stays clear and readable. If you need a reliable drive for small machinery or a custom build project, the electronics do their job without breaking a sweat. If you need something heavier duty, this might not be the right choice.

Basic motor controller, works well enough. It's pretty hackable if you want it to do more.
I order this motor speed controller to use on a small go kart with an old brushed DC motor. This speed control is very basic but does the job. And unit is fairly hackable and cost effective. It's great for running a stationary brushed motor at a fixed speed. I plan to add a current sensor and replace the potentiometer with an Arduino. For better controlability. The saves me the hassle of doing a custom PCB for a motor controller. You need to be careful what motors you use this on. If you motor has a stall current more then 100A you can fry this motor controller. This controller has a 100K potentiometer with a switch built in for power and speed control. There is voltage display that came with the unit partially detached and it wasn't obvious how to plug it back in, which was a bit annoying. The controller also has a rocker switch for direction. Overall it's very basic motor speed controller, but it does what it need to and it's cheap and hackable.

Not Great.
I have been working on automating my sausage stuffer for a while. My original mounting plan for the actuator failed and I needed to revamp my idea. I think I have the mechanics sorted, but I still needed a motor controller to control speed and direction so I could reverse it and adjust the speed to feed the sausage comfortably. This speed controller seemed like it would be perfect. It needed 120v power. It has all of the options to control speed, reverse direction, and I would be able to plug the 120 volt into a foot pedal so I have both hands free to stuff the sausage. It also has a digital display so I can reference the speed for easy adjustments and learn to control the speed based on casing sizes, etc. Unfortunately, the screen is not a typical panel mount like I am used to. I am not sure how to securely mount a flush face to the stuffer. It might need to be double sided tape which would lack the profession install I am looking for. The biggest issue is that the controller is missing a screw to connect the power and the motor. I might be able to find something to replace it, but if not, I am sunk. There is no way to get it operational if I cannot find a suitable replacement. I shook everything to see if it fell out in transport, but it seems to be overlooked in the build process. For now 3 stars, I will come back and follow up on whether this ended up working or was a complete fail.
