These are strong. Great quality. Easy install. Warning! Ask someone else to help hold the liftgate or use another support even though your old ones need replacing. They are still doing some work. Once you take those old ones off, the liftgate gets significantly heavier. Once you slap these new ones on, it almost feels hard to get the liftgate down. It's stiff for a few weeks, but as you use it, that stiffness smooths out. A year after purchase, and they are still doing great! It still takes a little effort to close, but it's no longer falling on me.

We ordered these for our 2013 Durango a few weeks back and my husband and 13-year-old son removed the old ones that had worn out and replaced them with this new set. My teenager actually did most of it himself while my husband held the back hatch up for him to do so. It was very simple and went quickly. We were thrilled at how much we paid for these struts because we got quotes from the car dealership and it was outrageous to replace them. So this product worked out for us big time. The only downside is that they are so "new" right now that they are harder to pull the hatch down to close it. Lol, it really takes some strength but in time they will loosen up I'm sure. The grocery attendant that loaded my pick up order the other day could barely close it. The last ones had gotten to a point to where they wouldn't even stay up anylonger so we'll take harder to close instead of dodging a knot on the head.

Mine were not strong enough to use one but really stiff and hard to close with both installed. I have to use both hands with some elbow grease. Super easy to install and for a great price. I’m still happy with them as I’m not propping it up with my head anymore.

Easy install. Works Great so far. Real test is once temps are below 20 degrees F. Hopefully will still work well in cold weather.

Perfect fit. Easy to install. Works great. No issues. Came with 2 in the package. Had it on for 1 month. Update: 3 months later and it still works fine. Like others mentioned, the lift gate seemed to have a lot of pressure and it didn’t close without some assistance. But I noticed that it only happened twice, and it was when I was parked on an incline. I’m still happy with it.
