Good value. Good price.
Easy to put together and it's pretty solid for the price. I got it for the chin up bar and it's very stable for me at 150 lbs.

Solid, versatile power rack that delivers dependable performance for home strength training
The CAP Barbell power rack is a practical option for building a home gym without taking up excessive space or breaking the budget. Once assembled, the frame feels stable and capable of handling typical strength training movements like squats, bench press, overhead press, and pull-ups. The steel construction gives it a sturdy feel, and the adjustable safety bars add confidence when lifting alone. The rackโs layout makes it easy to adjust J-hooks and safeties to different heights depending on the exercise. Itโs versatile enough to support a wide range of workouts, especially when paired with a bench and barbell. For many home gym setups, it provides the essential features needed for safe, effective lifting without unnecessary complexity. For better stability, placing the rack on a flat surface or lifting platform helps prevent movement during heavier lifts. Also, tightening all hardware after the first few workouts can keep the frame feeling solid over time. Overall, this is a dependable power rack that offers good functionality for anyone building a practical home strength training setup.

Great budget and space saving power rack
First, there is confusion about whether this rack can handle 300 or 500 lbs. The answer is it depends on what model you purchase. At the time of my purchase, the black model was model 705 and cost $85 while the others are model 905 and cost $120. The 905 does support 500/750 lbs. The 705 is 300/300. If you want more than 300lbs as described in the page pictures make sure you pick the color you want and check that the item description section bellow the pictures says 905 as the model. This review is for the 905 models. The rack was easy to assemble. It took me 45 minutes to get it finished and all holes lined up. There were some scratches in the finish. I can't tell if they were made during manufacturing or shipping but they don't affect the overall look or function. The frame feels solid and well made even though it is just under 70lbs. This is impressive given that this will handle 500lbs in a bar. The pullup bar also feels "safe" and the frame doesn't shake much when used. The unit has the option to be bolt down if needed. For $120 and able to handle 500lbs, this is a great entry-level or for an experienced lifter who wants something with a low profile and doesn't want to be limited to 300lbs. Now to the things I didn't like and why it is 4 stars and not 5. The weight catches feel well-engineered but they have no padding or protection against the bar. The paint will be flaking off easily if a bar with texture is used. As others have done, I recommend adding some thin carpet of rubber so that the finish is protected. Don't put something too thick or slippery though as that will make it less safe. The adjustment holes are well placed but are 1/2 inch. This is making finding accessories almost impossible. Other manufacturers of similar models have spotter arms and replacement catches as well as a weight holding arms available. While not perfect, this is still a great buy for the price and will do the job. I recommended it.

I need the Plate Extension Next!!!! Exceptional quality & very little rust.
See my video! 7 years young!! Great quality. Durable, indoor garage and outdoor garage kept. Have nothing but great things to say about this Brand's products and this squat rack as I've had it for almost 7 years!!! See my video, best review! I hope I can get the plate attachment before it gets discontinued. Summer viewers were complaining about the bar holder or the barbell holder. It is not a weight plate holder, I repeat it is not a weight plate holder! When facing the squat rack the left side is the bar holder and the right side is the weight plate holder. I saw some reviews complaining about that part breaking off and I find that hard to believe because I think it's a piece you tighten down which becomes the bar/barbell holder. I'm over 6 ft tall with my shoes on but just under without them so if you're much shorter it might be too tall, just use a safety step up of some sort. It works great with rings in my garage and the only thing I wish was that it was adjustable up and down but it probably wouldn't be as durable. I'm using speech to text so my apologies on any grammar and or punctuation!

Sturdy and looks good
This is a great pull-up bar. I got it for my son to do some training for ROTC. I highly recommend it. It is very sturdy and safe to use. It isnโt too high, so we put it inside and he was able to use it without hitting his head on the ceiling!

Best Alternative Pull Up Bar Option
I am not much of a lifter, but I love incorporating pull ups into my workouts. I wanted something that fit nicely into a home gym. Other pull up bar options were more expensive and bulky. This unit takes up a minimal footprint and is very stable. You wouldn't be able to do any dynamic pull ups without anchoring (think toe to bars or muscle ups). Set up was very straight forward and came together quickly.

Misleading Product Photo - Non-existent customer support
The base unit itself seems pretty decent, but the pictures show that it has posts on each side for weight storage. The actual main picture on Amazon shows weight storage posts on both sides. When I actually get the product, it comes with one weight plate storage post, and another post that I thought must have been the wrong part. It turns out that unlike the product image on here, it has a weight bar storage on the right hand side. This is utterly stupid, because whenever you store weight plates you're gonna want an even distribution. If you don't have an even distrubution the unit's gonna be incredibly unstable. If you put any horizontal force WHAT SO EVER the unit tips over. So I called CAP Barbel. Automated voice mail NO ONE ANSWERING PHONE EVER. The voicemail says to email them. I email them. They get back to me 3-4 days later and tell me I have the right part.. Long story short they say I can order the part from them for $9 .. I fill out the Credit Cart authorization form and mail it back. A week goes by I hear nothing. I email them. Another 4 days go by nothing. I email them demanding a response. I get a reply "We're still trying to locate it in our warehouse." I say thanks for the update.. Another week goes by nothing, I email asking for an update. Nothing.. It has been over a month or more maybe even two months since I ordered this. I still cannot use it. Recently I decided on a DIY solution-- Found some 2" diameter furniture feet on here that have a screw hole in the bottom. Got them, with slight modification they work. Go to Home Depot. They don't have a good supply of screws of the damn right size because it's metric. I get the longest they got. This morning realize they're too short. Who knows what.. 2 months? Longer after my purchase, I can't use the god damn thing that I paid $100 for. CAP has one that costs $200 that has weight plate posts on both sides but again, does it really? This one had the damn picture of two and it only has one. Amazon has a 30 day return policy. Do the math. I wasted my money. Bought the wrong product. CAP barbell's customer service is fricken garbage. Super dissatisfied customer. Now instead of going to Kung Fu I'm headed to Loews to see if they have 3" bolts in the right size so I can finally use the product that I bought ages ago and CAP was NO GOD DAMN HELP WHATSOEVER. Never buying another product from CAP barbell unless I know 100% from seeing the god damn thing in person that it's what I need, and I will never have to speak to the manufacturer. From what I can tell: Decent product. Complete piece of trash customer support.

Good enough, but expect issues.
Came a bit rusted and missing some pieces. Works decent otherwise! Very good for light training novice or a very experienced lifter. Otherwise the instability of the rack can be a big risk. Also a weight limit if 500lbs so thatโs pretty limiting.

Good but upgrade path is limited
It's great, but the diameter of the holes on the uprights are really small and a nonstandard size. This means you'll struggle to buy extra attachments from any other brand e.g. dip handles, cable attachments etc.
