Good introduction to German language for kids…
This picture book is a good learning tool to introduce the German language to kids. The illustrations show scenes of the teddy bear family at home, at the classroom, in the park and so on. On each of these scenes, you have the objects related to it around the page with their German name. At the bottom of each page, there are a few phrases in English, relative to that page’s illustration on one side, and the same phrases in German, on the other. In this way the reader can have an idea of German sentences structure. At the end of the book there are also few pages about verbs, colors, numbers and words glossary. Good basic instruction in a colorful book.

Loved it, bought one to donate, you'll love it too.
We love this book, actually bought two to donate one to the library so others can enjoy it as well. The pictures are cute, and there are so many great words. The reason for docking are star are: I wish it had the pronunciation in it, whether in the back or front of the book. I don't speak German, my children and I are learning together so that would be very helpful. Also, sometimes it is confusing exactly what they are talking about. The is one picture where it looks like they are telling you the word for sink, maybe even faucet, however a German friend told us that it is the word for pipe. Used in the correct context, still slightly confusing though. I would certainly recommend this book however.

Good buy
I had previously bought First 1000 Words in French so I knew what to expect. Good starter book for children learning a new language.

Gostei muito!
É um livro que ajuda adquirir vocabulário na língua alemã. Nesse livro é abordado o universo infantil, como sugere a capa. Serve para crianças, mas também para adultos ( estudantes de alemão ) que desejam aumentar o seu vocabulário na língua alemã. As ilustrações ajudam a memorização.
