the only thing i could tell you is dark it's the little digital display , I have poor sight and i have no problem with it, i suppose they do it in that way to match the main display my watch is black and i like that this little screen is dark , because Idon't want to have a carnival in my hand. the rest of the things are normal fluorescency of hand and digits are ok , but remember this watch is not a big watch so digits and hands are not big. the only thing of this beatiful watch, I love it, honestly . but if i have to tell something that is not a good thing , at least not for me and my poor sight is that the watch has light for night use , but it's not really bright and it last 2 or 3 seconds if in that time you have not read the hands you will need to press again, most of the time Idon't need it because the hands are fluorescent but fluorescence dissapear and yes I find myself having to press the button two or three times, but my sight is not good enough too. It's a watch for a discrete  person , I love it the contrast of the black display and slightly golden and white hands and digits, it makes it a  serious watch, not a flashy watch you want to show . I play guitar and I want a comfortable watch, not heavy and I'm very happy i have other watches for events, but i use this as my daily. Ispecially love when it adjust time itself , it's really aamazing, if you live in one of the specific zones you don't have to worry in adjust never your watch, meaning you are always on time. Very Important

It has multi alarms but not a backlight. There is a light at the bottom of the face that is operated by pressing one of the buttons. It’s not very bright but does a reasonably good job.
