Doesn’t leak; nice pitcher
I noticed that some of the user’s reviews indicate that their pitcher leaks, and some don’t. I have several plastic food containers which have similar silicone seals, and wanted to find out what leaks and doesn’t. JUST like other plastic containers, these silicone gaskets have a “right side” and a “wrong side”. I removed the gasket and noticed that there’s a flat bottom and a rounded top. These containers, including this pitcher, need to install the flat side down in the pitcher’s top. When I put the gasket’s flat side into the top, and put it onto the pitcher, if didn’t leak! Then, I switched it, putting the rounded side onto the pitcher”s top. Shook things a bit, and it DID LEAK! Put things back correctly, and it didn’t leak. The TRICK is that you need to push the silicone gasket into the bottom “well” firmly. A good way to do this is to push the gasket using the bottom (flat) side of a plastic knife. Have done this several time, and I have no leaks. Now I want to find out if the gray rubber (non-silicone) gaskets will hold up to several months of usage.

Great product - sturdy, good seal.
I like this pitcher a lot. It's a good, strong plastic, but lightweight. The top seals very tightly and it's a wide opening, so it's easy to clean the bottom of the pitcher. The pour spout is part of the top, and when closed, is also very tightly sealed, so shake it, turn it upside down if you want to, and it won't spill. It's taller than my other pitchers, but narrower so it takes a bit less space in the refrigerator than my other pitchers do/did. It fits just fine in the door or the top or bottom shelf. Good quality pitcher!

Once you learn how to snap that lid down properly this is a great product.
I wanted this type of container to save room in the frig, while being able to shake up orange juice or lemonade without having to remove the top, stir it, and put the top back on. I wouldn't try to shake it up vigorously as if I were trying to make a smoothie, but it works just fine for this type of shaking. It has not leaked while shaking it or while pouring from it. The lid is a little different than any I have used before. If you don't get the snap down below the ridge it won't be tight and will leak obviously. Look at the little "tits" that need to get below that ridge before pressing the snaps on each side. Two "tits" per side. My only concern would be if one of those tiny "tits" breaks should someone try to force the side down without making sure it clears that ridge first. I like the material. Not a hard plastic but also not soft that can get shoved in when someone tries to put something next to it. The shape seems to enhance the ability for the lid to stay on. I like the way the cap pops up. There is a tiny burp hole with a rubber type grommet that prevents juice from burping out of the spout itself. There is also a drip catch (or whatever it is called) that keeps the juice from back-flowing underneath and away from the glass. It washes in the dishwasher just fine. I never use the heat dry cycle, which I find helps all plastic ware that I wash in it.

Good size, leak proof pitcher
The size is great for a single can of juice concentrate plus the 3+ cans of water. I needed a leak free one to shake pulp around. It hasn't leaked much so far with 1 months use. One time had a smidge of wet. The lid was only too tight at first. Now they lock well. I know that was in others complaints. I even bought a second because they fit nicer than my previous over-sized pitchers. I had an order issue of purchasing 2 of the same pitcher at a good price. Only one came, but the second did not. It did say there were only a few left. I was not charged on the second pitcher, but when I went to reorder the price went up. So I guess there were more left, they just wanted more money. I ordered anyway because I was looking for two, but it annoyed me that it even happened.

It WON'T hold 2 Liters and also leaks a BADLY after being in the refrigerator.
My initial review was pretty positive and I loved this thing. That was after initially using it. Three hours later my opinion changed drastically. I bought this pitcher as the replacement for a Rubbermaid pitcher which is still holding up but is at least 42 years old. (The other one I'll be replacing is considerably older ... 47 or 48 IIRC.) I had high hopes for it because it's supposed to be a 2-liter pitcher, AND it is supposed to be leak proof. I have fairly strong hands and I had no problem securing the lid to get a good fit. There was slight leakage on one or both sides of the pitcher at the points where the lid is secured, but it was only a few drops and I decided I could live with that issue. There was also some slight leakage when I tried to pour from it, but ditto on that issue. I did measure its maximum capacity. But I won't bore you with the details: basically after multiple trials the pitcher could hold 2 L if the lid was off, but putting it on there was significant spill-over and the AVERAGE maximum capacity after putting the lid on was 1975 ml (1.975 L). I also decided that I could live with that issue and so I kept it and wrote a good review. After making some lemonade (powdered mix) and shaking the pitcher to mix it up - and there was more than a little leakage when I did that - the pitcher went into the refrigerator to chill. Fast forward 3 hours. Taking the pitcher out of the refrigerator, I attempted to pour lemonade into a glass. It was a disaster. There were two streams coming out of the pitcher: one through the spout and the seconds one under the spout (either from the seal on the lid or from the spout. it was hard to tell where it was coming from. So I removed the lid, re-seated it, and tried again. No matter what I did (several tries) I still got multiple leaks when trying to pour. The leak volume was about a third as large as what was coming through the spout, so we're talking major spill. I let the pitcher & its contents return to room temperature and then the leaking returned to its previous "just a tiny leak when pouring" status. Finally, while I have strong hands my wife is petite and doesn't. She could just barely get the lid to seal and couldn't get a good seal even with the pitcher at room temperature. I have to assume that the plastic in the pitcher most likely reacts to the cold by either shrinking or shrinking and changing its shape slightly. That problem makes the pitcher useless to me and my wife. So I will not be reordering the planned 3 more of them. Sigh. I'm about to return it, and I'll try to find something else. It might not be as nice as this one, but I will keep it if and only if ("iff") it leaks neither when cold or warm. Why did I give 1 stars instead of 4? Well initially I gave it only four because advertising claims should be accurate and verifiable. Capacity and "leak-proof-edness" did hold up. It went to 1 after the pitcher showed that after chilling in the refrigerator (to 36 degrees F if you're curious), the pitcher was anything but leak-proof. If you order one of these you may get one which works perfectly and meets its advertising claims. Or you may not. If it didn't leak I'd keep it in a heartbeat: that's my main complaint. Try pouring a 16-ounce drink of lemonade and then having to clean up a HUGE spill on a kitchen counter and you might feel the same way.
