Speedy waffle production at a great price
I make waffles for my five children once or twice a week, and needed higher production than my single waffle maker would allow. After making over a hundred waffles, I'm totally pleased with the purchase! While the plastic parts feel cheaper than the more expensive waffle maker I owned, it's holding up like a champ despite pretty heavy usage, and the waffles are just the same, and this thing cranks them out fast! This makes are excellent, and come out crispy. I thought I would use my old waffle maker and this in tandem, but this gets the job done by itself. Totally pleased!

Fantastic Waffle Maker that Makes Two Waffles at Once - Easy to Use, Cooks Evenly, Very Nonstick
After nearly a decade of faithful use, my Villaware Uno Waffle Maker with interchangeable heart and Belgian waffle plates finally broke. It was a sad day for our household, but we had to move on and look for another waffle iron as Villaware no longer makes that particular iron. After some searching, we finally settled on the B&D Double Flip Waffle Maker. While I loved my Villaware, the B&D waffle iron is quickly filling that empty space in both my heart and stomach. The Double Flip Waffle Maker heats up quickly, is beautifully nonstick, and get this - it makes TWO waffles at ONE time! Now, instead of having to split a waffle for my kids to share while I heat up a second one for them to share again so they would have a full waffle to eat each, I can heat up two waffles, have them eat their breakfasts at the same time without having to break anything in half, and have enough time to make an actually waffle for both me and my husband. This waffle maker was a breakfast game changer for our family! While this iron lacks a temperature control that my old waffle iron had, I've discovered over the years that I actually left the temp at the same spot simply because once a perfect setting was discovered, I never needed to change it. This waffle iron is in perpetual "perfect setting" mode. The waffles I've made come out crisp on the outside, lightly browned, and familiarly delicious. Simply pour in the batter, close, flip, pour in more batter, flip again, and wait for the iron to stop steaming. For those who don't multitask, you will need to set a timer as this one doesn't have any timers or beepers to let you know your waffle is done. The one gripe I have is that this iron doesn't come with removable plates for easy cleaning, but because the plates are so non stick, the plates were easy enough to clean with a simple wipe down. Overall, I'm very pleased with this waffle iron. We've had it for a month now with frequent use - I'm looking forward to many more delicious waffle breakfasts to come!

CRISPY waffles EVERY time!!!
You can't set the timer or temperature, but it DOESN'T matter. You get crispy waffles just like the hotels' ones. Just cook them for 4 minutes first after you put the batter and follow the 10 sec instructions before rotation (READ THE INSTRUCTIONS) and see if you like them. Adjust the time you let your waffles cook depending on how you want them. For me it is 4 min each set of two waffles. Price is unbeatable for such perfect results. And the double waffle is just a plus, specially helpful for big families. Also, I found out that the must inexpensive Waffle Mix works just perfect! No need to add eggs, or oil or anything. I am buying the Great Value Belgian waffle mix. I am very grateful I found this machine. Never thought I would within my limited price range. I know many people say they don't write reviews... well that is me... hope you believe me and hope you find this helpful. Give it a try but don't forget to read the very simple instructions. If you don't like it, return it. Hope you'll all find what you are looking for :)))))

Easy and fast waffles! Hate cleaning it - but think it's great for the price!
- Pro: Makes fantastic waffles quick and easy! - Con: Very annoying to clean My first time making waffles was with this machine, and it's so easy! I love that I can make two waffles in less than five minutes - I bought this for my wedding reception that is breakfast themed and have been testing it once a week and it's been holding out well. I'll update on the review to see how it works out on the big day! Although it's easy, it can be very messy though; do not use any additional oils or butter (it's non-stick anyway). I've been looking up tutorials for cleaning and when it's very messy - I steam it clean by letting water sit inside when hot and pouring out (I tried experimenting adding cheese waffle mix that left residue - just stick to regular batter in my opinion). Making just plain waffles comes out easy and clean, I usually just clean it by letting a moist paper towel sit for a minute or so when hot and closed and wipe clean. The other really neat thing that really sold me is the space saving design - since you can store it flipped sideways while it's still standing it saves a lot of cabinet or counter space when not in use. Honestly, comparing against all the waffle makers on the market (I did about two weeks of research), this one seems to be good for getting your best bang for your buck. Most of them are either very cheap or too expensive. I couldn't justify spending $100+ on a waffle maker, but figured I should spend more than $10 - so this was a good middle ground and I'm pretty content this should work great for regular use. Tip: I suggest that instead of using the drip pan, to just line the bottom with aluminium since the batter is a bit of mess that drip out and tends to spill outside the pan made for it. That way it collects the over spill better and you can just ball up and throw away for easy clean up. Will post pictures of my next waffle adventure soon!

Excellent!
Very pleased with this purchase, it's a very well-made unit, extremely heavy duty Non-stick plates. Cooks extremely well and very even.

GET IT! DON'T "WAFFLE" ON THIS MAKER!
Don't be bougie, get the cheap one! It makes a waffle JUST AS GOOD (if not better) than the fancy one. I had my eye on a high-end waffle maker for a while. After not receiving it as a gift for Christmas (although it literally was, like, ITEM #1 on my list), I took that as a hint that I need to chill out and reevaluate my priorities in life. No one should pay hundreds of dollars for a waffle maker unless they are running a restaurant or they are allergic to bargains. Anyway, about the waffle maker itself... Love it! In order to have full, voluptuous waffles I OVERFILL the cooking plate and let the batter overflow a bit (once closed) and just clean it up later. (I'm sure others would discourage this, but they are also the ones who serve those sad misshapen waffles because they followed the instructions on the box.) The dual cooking plates are FABULOUSSSSS! It's like you're making a waffle at La Quinta between the hours of 8-9:30am every time. I love the flipping action, because it lets gravity do its thing and cook the waffles more evenly. My recommendation is to flip the waffles a couple of times (once they are no longer oozing and the steam calms down). (Again, a Debbie Downer may say NOT to do that because the box says NOT to, but I believe that rules are meant to be broken when it comes to making waffles.) There's literally NO temperature control on this, so you need to time everything right. If you have bad time management skills, you may find this a bit stressful, but it's nothing you can't overcome. I believe in you. But, really, don't let the cooking plates get too hot or else the oil you lightly brush over them will start to burn. (Oh, and DO follow the rules about lightly brushing oil on the cooking plates before you heat up the waffle maker, because your waffles will slide right out.) In a nutshell: I love this waffle maker.

It works OKAY but I wish I'd just bought another Cuisinart
Okay, it works FINE but, if you've ever used other flip waffle makers (like Cuisinart), you will probably be disappointed with this one. I had a Cuisinart for years and used it until it fell apart; I should have just replaced it but I decided to try this one since the price was so much cheaper. As they say, you get what you pay for. I do like that it cooks two waffles at the same time but that's about all I like about it. It doesn't stay very hot and I find that the waffles don't get that "crisp/shattery" crust that we love. It takes about 6 minutes to cook a waffle, which is way longer than my previous waffle iron! I miss the nice handle on the front of my old one; the mechanism for this one is, again, FINE but just not super easy to use. It all just feels a little clunky. It doesn't come with a batter cup and that is another bummer; it says it takes 1/3 cup but that's far too little. Even 1/2 cup is too little but when I went to 3/4 cup it overflowed. Trying to find the sweet spot takes a little work. Finally, it doesn't beep or have any indicator when the waffle is ready so you have to keep an eye on it; that's frustrating when you're trying to cook other things and you have to keep checking it.
