Amazing for electronics, games, and audio gear
This is one of the best tool purchases of my life. I am amazed how many bits they include that I actually needed. I haven't come across a piece of electronics that I own yet that this kit doesn't have an answer to. Everything seems to be well-made and sturdy. These might not fit every game consoles you work on, but so far it hasn't let me down. I used it on an original NES and the game bits on the cartridges. It also had the very very small star bit I needed to loosen the head on a pro microphone as well as the torx screw that held the housing together. It also had the star bits and torx I needed to disassemble a monitor controller. It even had small hex wrench bits I needed to undo on the back of a video converter. Besides that it has plenty of common bits for philips and flathead. It won't contain very large ones, but I have standard screwdrivers for that for heavy duty work. This kit is best for smaller jobs, which is what it's made for. I also particularly like the feel. I can use it one handed or hold the end with one hand and spin the rest of with the other to undo screws and small bolts quickly. If you work on electronics, repair electronics or need to clean out or repair your old game console, this kit will do what you need. Can't beat it for the price in my opinion.

This kit is an absolute must-have for anyone who works on electronics
This kit is an absolute must-have for anyone who works on electronics! The 64-bit set covers virtually every screw type you’ll ever encounter — phones, laptops, game consoles, you name it. The bits are made from quality steel and fit snugly without stripping. The handle feels great in hand with a smooth swivel cap. The case and organization, really well-made the appearance looks great. The accessibility is easy to use lots of versatility and it’s easy for portability.

A must have if you work with laptops, phones, video games and other small gadgets
I'll start off by saying I had a cheaper precision bit set I bought from Amazon. It worked but I never felt the bits would last too long before rounding. This is a world of difference. The bits are harder, the bit driver operates like precision clockwork. I am not afraid to actually use them. The magnetic case keeps them secure and easy to access. It includes every bit you'll need and some you'll never need. It has the standard array of Phillips, flat, Torx, etc. It also has the bits to work on Apple products and the NES security bit so you can solder a new battery into your classic Zelda cartridge. 5 Stars! I put off buying this for a long time because of the price, but at $40, it is worth adding this to your tool bag and I now know I should have bought it sooner. The manufacturer sells it for the same price on their site (plus shipping) but shipping takes a week. Buy it here and get free and fast 1-2 day shipping.

Best in its class
I've owned this set for a long time, recently bought a second one to keep at home, and I noticed today that it got the number one spot in a Project Farm video, up against the new but overpriced LTT set. The reviews that guy does are so comprehensive and give you context in comparison by reviewing several options. Anyway, after watching that I decided to come here and make sure that I had done a review of my own. Looks like I haven't, so I'll say that this set has all the bits that you're going to need if you work on computers or other small devices and electronics. The bits are strong, the bit retention is right where you want it to be, the magnetism is on point, and the design of the container and layout of the pieces inside are top notch. Go watch the video on Project Farm if you're on the fence about buying this. It will tell you everything you need to know and then some.

Best screwdriver kit for small electronics, period.
I couldn't be more pleased with this kit. I'll address each part: Case - The magnets combined with the interlocking ridge along the edge hold the lid firmly in place without making it difficult to remove. The grid molded into the underside of the lid makes it an excellent tray for small screws. - If you need to step away from your project and want to keep the screws from getting accidentally scattered, the lid can be attached to the rear of the main case. - The high-quality foam liner holds the tools tightly without making them difficult to remove and replace. Handle - Retains bits securely without making them difficult to change. - Very nicely machined, with no rough edges and knurling that's easy to grip without being overly aggressive. - The top swivel isn't just a crimped-on piece of pot metal or cheap plastic. It is a machined, bead blasted and anodized piece of aluminum riding on a BEARING. Flex Shaft - Sturdy, with free-spinning collars on each end. - The input and output sockets are machined to the same high standards as the handle. - The bit holder on the shaft uses a spring clip to retain the bits, rather than a magnet. It seems like a downgrade at first, but then you realize it hold the bit much tighter than the magnet in the handle, reducing the chance of it getting left behind in a place you can't get your fingers into. Bits - Machined (not sintered) from proper tool steel, then coated to prevent corrosion. - Torx range starts at T2 where most start at T3. - JIS bits are the miracle you didn't know you needed. All those tiny Phillips screws that you've been stripping out? Those are JIS. You're welcome. On top of all this, iFixit provides a lifetime warranty. You just can't beat it.

Great kit for electronics work
Excellent tool kit to have if you work on small electronics. Has just about every bit you would need for things like controllers, phones, laptops, and other devices. The handle feels comfortable, the bits fit well, and everything feels high quality instead of cheap. Definitely one of those kits you end up using more than you expected.

I love using this tool set
I needed to replace the disk reader in my Wii - unfortunately there are several tri-wing screws in the Wii so I bought a less expensive set of "security bits". The only problem with the less expensive set is that they were 1/4" bits and wouldn't reach into some of the holes in the Wii case. I wish I would have bought this set to start with - here's why: 1) The bits are smaller and have long, narrow shafts to reach into screws at hard to reach places 2) The top of the case has little dividers so that you can put your screws and other parts into separate sections so if you put them into the compartments in the order that you remove them then reassembly becomes much easier because you don't have to try and find which screw goes where - they are all laid out in order for you. 3) The high-density foam that holds the bits in place makes the bits visible, easy to remove and replace. 4) The driver has a good feel to it. 5) The bits are high quality, precision bits. 6) There is a good variety of bits that should handle most electronic repair needs This is the same set that comes with the iFixIt Pro Tech tool kit but at half the price (but it doesn't include the spudgers, anti-static wrist strap, tweezers, and some other tools that you may already have). It is a pleasure to work with this tool set. If you are working on electronic devices I suggest getting this set instead of one of the less expensive 1/4" bit sets because sooner or later (in my case MUCH sooner) you will find the 1/4" bits are just too fat for what you need. The organizer tray cover alone makes it worth getting this set. You can tell that the people who designed this set actually repair things and made a set that makes it so that you can focus on fixing things and not have to worry about your tools.

One of the nicest micro screwdriver sets you can find on the market. wish the bits were longer.
I bought this kit for three reasons: 1: the quality of the driver handle 2: the case 3: the bit selection Overall I am very pleased with the kit as is... but I would like to see it improved in the future if they revise it. Anyone that works on electronics or computers is very familiar with the fact that not only do you need tons of different types of bit drivers, but that often times those fasteners are buried deep down in little plastic holes and you need a long thin driver to get down in there. I really like the handle that comes in this kid. That was one of my primary reasons for buying it. However every time I turn around the bit that came with this kit are not long enough to be used in the application because they won’t reach down into the hole. They really should have designed all of these bits to have a shaft section about twice as long so that they would be a lot more useful. There would still be plenty of room in the existing case for the lid to shut with a bit that long and there would be way more utility for the set. I also need to add some insulated bits with a plastic tip for making adjustments to components on circuit boards were you don’t want to adjust them with a metal driver like a trimmer cap. That would be a nice touch. The flexible extension is handy but again it’s a little use if you’re trying to get the bit down a little bitty hole because if the head of the extension won’t fit down in there then it doesn’t matter. As far as the case, I think it’s great… I really like the way that the inside of the lid has a little ridges to keep passing or separated so that you can divide things up as you take them apart. I actually wish that the ridges we’re about twice as tall as they are although it works the way it is. Even though I don’t use it as much as I originally thought that I would. Part of that has to do with how many tools that I own. If this were the only set of tools that I owned I would use it a lot more. If all that I did all day was work on computers then it would be a fabulous set of tools and I would be constantly using it so that’s why I gave it four stars as a good value for most people. again. I also own it’s big brother that uses the quarter inch drive bits and I believe it to be a nice kit as well with the same shortcomings and advantages.

#RightToFixForEveryone

Mac mini 2018 RAM Upgrade
I purchased this toolkit to upgrade the RAM in my 2018 Core i5 Mac mini. The unit was getting incredibly hot when updating the photo library (40,000+ images), and after OS-X Catalina update and the plethora of issues I suffered it just got worse and worse. RAM usage was showing at 5.5Gb so I thought there was plenty of RAM left for general tasks, but now the unit was 12 months old and effectively out of warranty period I decided to upgrade the RAM as I couldn't do any harm. On Apple's website it states this is a service centre only task on the latest machines, if you have any sense of logic, mechanical sympathy, and patience trust me, it's not a difficult job as there are plenty of online guides. I got my toolkit out from my old MacMini that I'd bought from iFixit and low and behold the first 6 bolts I encounter have security heads which aren't in my old kit. I found a bespoke MacMini RAM upgrade toolkit on Amazon for about £16, but it only has 3 tools in it. This comprehensive kit at £29 makes much more sense as it's got your bases covered for so much more. One day later it arrived, and I'm pleased to report it's really decent quality. So I stripped the Mac down in about 10 minutes which wasn't hard. Put the screws/bolts in a labelled box to help with reassembly, the hardest part is getting the logic board out which required a bit of a shove, but there are no more than 12 or so screws/bolts to remove to get to the RAM. Ensure when seating the RAM you push it until you hear a positive clicking sound and it will go no further. It seats at 45 degrees on the board so don't try and push it beyond this. Re-assembly wasn't hard, the hardest part was re-seating the wifi antenna cable & accompanying screw. I used the plastic Uspudger from my old Mac mini kit, but any thin plastic pry bar with a flat end would do. Ever since completing the upgrade even with minimal tasks my Mac mini has been using 7-10Gb of RAM so there is clearly RAM throttling going on when using 8Gb as it was using 5Gb for the same tasks previously. The highest use I've seen to date is 12Gb with quite a few apps open (Photo/Music/Safari/Mail). If you do a lot of video editing in 4K I strongly recommend considering 32Gb upgrade (2x16 as there are only 2 slots), or you ca choose to max out at 64Gb (32x2). Overall the upgrade has been very beneficial, but the toolkit made it an absolute breeze. The bits are solid, don't round off, and if they are anything like the old kit which I've had since 2011 it will be a great investment that I've already used on for other jobs on an Acer desktop and an Alienware Laptop. I only ended up using 3 of the attachments in the Mac mini TR6 / T5 / T10, but I strongly recommend you search for the plastic spudger kit (you can get 2 for £1.50) to go with it as it makes the electrical connectors far easier to remove.
