The Hyde Contour Scraper with 6 Changeable Blades has a variety of head shapes which was what I needed to refinish the wood trim in our older home. The 'head to handle' angle is a fixed position to give good leverage, comfort and scraping performance. The blade release is a simple lever action making tool changes quick and easy. I appreciated this since most of our trim pieces contained multiple shapes, requiring multiple blade changes. I deducted one star for the quality of the blade edges. In all cases, they were only 'rough ground', heavily 'burred' and not as sharp as needed to give uniform contact with the trim surface. I de-burred and honed each with 400 grit emery paper to give a more precise edge.

Had a refinishing project with wood that a previous owner had whitewashed or pickled or whatever you want to call it. That stuff is near impossible to get off of wood without removing a Lot of material. when it comes to nooks and crannies and fiddley-bit areas this tool is The Very BEST! It is sharp as all getout. The blades attach firmly and come off easily. The variety of blade shapes is great too. The handle is easy on the hands. I actually had one and couldn't find it, so we got another one. We did, of course, within days of delivery find the original. So now I have two. I'm not mad about it :D

I had an old, hard maple, vanity base and bench seat I wanted to restore and repurpose as a desk. It had cut curves and groves on the base and spindle legs on the seat. The old finish was a mess. These scrapers got into grooves and channels that sanding would have detroyed. They maintained their edges. Easy to use and very effective.

I found this tool on a Thursday night, I was starting the job to scape 90 year old crown molding on Saturday. Came Friday delivery and this WAS THE TOOL! If I hadn't discovered this I would have given up. Every other too I had for this job failed. Wire Brush, heat gun, generic flat scrapers... FAILED. I was a little heavy handed and it definitely gouged the wood a bit, but I'm repainting them and it's going to look way better than it did before! Being able to change blades easily is a game changer. Took me 6 hours to scrape a 9x12 room, but removing and replacing the molding would have probably taken me as long. The release handle is a little hard to open. I think, say my wife, would have trouble opening it to change blades. All in all, great stuff!

I don't usually write reviews but this scrapper changed the game for me. I paint historical houses and it's very time consuming digging out old caulking. This Hyde scrapper is incredible. It took days off of scrapping. And if there's one thing any Painter knows is time is money. I'm so grateful 🙏 for this product. Thanks

Stripping wood in a brownstone with a ton of detailed moldings. Added this to my Allway set for additional blade profiles. Sharp, pretty tough. BUT, one huge con is that the soft rubber handle dissolves when left in paint thinner. When working, I keep a small bucket with paint thinner to drop the tool in when I switch to another. Makes it easy to switch from one tool to another without the paint hardening on it. By the end of the day, the end of the rubber near the blade had already begun deteriorating. Not sure they will last... Oh well.

Mais surtout, je m'en suis servi en sculpture sur bois pour nettoyer des fonds de haut-reliefs, et pour nettoyer certains détails avec la lame ovale+pointe tenue directement à la main En résumé, un petit set d'outils pratiques et efficaces
