Rust Stain Remover - Non-caustic formula (1L)

This stuff works very well. I had some rust stains on my flagstones from remodeling the house and leaving radiators on them and the product took it right off. There were some deep old rust spots that required 2 treatments but it still worked. It turns the rust purple as it works and when you go to flush it off the purple color will come back again as it is still working on the rust deep in the pores of the concrete so you have to rinse it, wait a bit, rinse it, wait a bit and do that about 5 times until it is all gone. It looks great now! Don’t waste your time on the small bottle as it does not go very far.

I have a porcelain tiled patio and my garden furniture is permanently left out all year in all weathers and having just had a summer jet wash I noticed there were some rust stains underneath the furniture where the furniture base rests on the tiles. I bought this product based on reviews. previous porcelain cleaners have not shifted the stains. I poured a very tiny amount of the product on a few of the stains this morning and left it to do its work. Left it for about half an hour, then took some wet kitchen roll and wiped it up. And all the stains have gone, so I intend to do the rest of the stains this afternoon. Very easy to use and hasn’t damaged the or stained the porcelain in anyway and it lifted the rust stains off in one application. The solution does turn the rust stain a bkackberry purple colour but it did not stain my tiles - noting that they are porcelain and not natural stone - I presume that some sort of chemical reaction is happening to dissolve the rust stain. Fabulous product a little goes a long way.

Got iron sulphate stain on my patio from garden treatment, so used some of this stuff to get it off. It works, but it does take a while to get all the purple stains off after it's done it. and in a couple areas it did take a second go. You don't get much of it for the price as the bottle is kinda small though.

I used this product to remove rust from tiles on our doorstep, which were caused by a few pellets of lawn fertiliser that had got onto them. Previously, power washing failed to do anything much to remove them. The LTP Stain Remover dissolved the rust, and turned a purple colour in the process. I had to use a wire brush on a couple of the most stubborn spots, but they are all gone, and the doorstep looks like new. I would recommend this product.

DO NOT USE ON LIMESTONE!!! We had lots of rust stains on our newly laid patio from the fertiliser we used on our grass which was spread by the sprinkler. Something we definitely don’t do anymore. We tested LTP Rust stain remover on a few slabs and it worked really well, removing the rust stains dots. It specifies it can be used on limestone. We washed it off several times. As it got hot we left the rest of the patio. Over the next couple of days the slabs started to get blue green marks on them. I rang the company and submitted some photos. I was told it was the residue of the remover and I could use more on it which should get rid of it. After waiting for it to cool down we did as was suggested and our patio slabs are now worse. It has ruined our a lot of our patio area as they are covered in blue and green marks which look like mould. The chemical has penetrated into the limestone as this cannot be scrubbed off. My brand new patio is now ruined! I would be extremely cautious of using this product!

As this is non caustic I thought I'd try this on my vinyl kitchen floor. It did start to remove the rust stain and seemed fine so I gave it a second application and it reduced the stain quite a bit. Sadly I noticed the start of discolouration and fading on the floor so I had to stop. Thankfully the pattern covers it and I stopped soon enough. So it does help but I would warn against using this on anything other than stated on the bottle.

This was straightforward to apply and worked well on stubborn rust staining. The instructions are clear, and you don’t need a large amount for a small affected area. A very useful product to have available for difficult outdoor stains.

We had a rust stain left by a rusting metal plant pot on our Indian stone patio. I wasn’t sure what to do about it, but after some research I found this product. It’s very easy to use and removed the stain completely. Amazing product and well worth the money. My patio now looks as good as new. You only need to use a very small amount, so the small bottle is more than adequate. It works very quickly and you can actually see it working as it turns purple! I used the lid to pour some of the liquid into first as it was easier to control how much I wanted to apply and to be more exact in the placement. Maybe a very small spray bottle would be a good idea.
