Am I wrong? Spoiler alert: yes
Update: Iโm an idiot and was doing the base instead of the top. Neverrrrrmind. In step 1, the cam bolts are sized 8mm * 28mm, however the size holes in the base to screw them in are 15mm. I would love to not send this table back. Awaiting reply from seller and will update review. Either hardware was sent that is too small, or the holes drilled into the base are too large.

This table was the perfect size. I wanted something compact but still offered decent space to eat on. I love that it has storage space as well
