Dance Music Manual

This is one of THE two books you need to read if you want to be a good EDM music producer and understand what you're doing. (The other book is "The Secrets of Dance Music Production" which I recommend to read first, but the Dance Music Manual has a lot of advanced and practical material that isn't in that book.) I've been a hobbyist musician and producer for more years than I care to admit, and spent the last two years learning online and leveling up my skills. This book pulls it all together with both theory understanding and practical tips, in the way a college course would. It's not a light book, and I recommend reading with a highlighter so you can mark the ideas you want to re-read and implement in your own music. If you want to be a good EDM music producer, buy this book. It's equivalent to 1-2 semesters of a college-level course in music production, and worth the time you spend on it.

This will save you hours if searching on YouTube for tutorials. Great tips and techniques. Examples of the techniques as available on their website and they take about 3 days to send you the link. Please request the supplemental material the day you receive the book so you can start listening as you read along. Don’t listen to the other reviews asking about a donation. You can put $0 and say you purchased the book and they will send you a link to the sound library. This book really is a secret weapon.

The book is fine but all the reviews are for the old versions of this book. Why would a a 2014 review be a thing for a version that was released in 2019??? Please fix this as it is misleading and annoying to someone looking for a recent review.

The information in the book is very good for a beginner. The only complaint I have is that they have not yet released the resource files and it is the end of March. That is why I give 4 stars. I bought another book "the secrets of dance music production" which I suggest you read first, then read this, they compliment each other in laying a good foundation.

Paid forty dollars for a book that constantly references examples that you can supposedly download from the author's website. Yet, those examples aren't there. Just a png pic of the download button that pops up. Customer service phone number on website doesn't work either.

Website makes you sign up your email and solicits donations in order to receive the Dance Music Manual Resource Files. The website claims you will receive the files within 48 hours, but nothing is sent to your email address.

Purchased this book brand new but the contents pages were printed crooked and not inserted into the book correctly. I would have gladly looked past this but I will be using this book as a reference guide so will need to access these pages regularly.

This book is very broad and thorough and definitely worth the money, however I only give it 2 stars as the book tells you what to do but often lacks how to do it. Hands on lessons and exercises would make it 5 stars. Search for Desayunaste on Soundcloud to check out my tunes.

Super livre très dense

Puede decirse que es como la biblia de la producción musical. Quizá la analogía no es la más precisa, pero revisa todos los temas fundamentales que se deben aprender para ser un buen productor musical. Se complementa muy bien con más libros que ahondan en los temas de manera más amplia, pero es la guía perfecta para encausar los conocimientos que se aprenden.
