GripTight GorillaPod PRO 2, Black/Charcoal

Everything listed in the description about this product is true! I have had this product for a couple of months now and it does the job of holding my phone and/or camera amazingly. Love the stability, light weight and sturdiness it brings for video recording and taking pics!

This is very well made and I especially appreciate that there is no spring to mount the phone, which can be a drag. It is adjustable with a screw, and works really well. I'm very happy with this and look forward to putting it to good use.

Much better than the average phone clamp and love that it was included at such a nice price. Would recommend the Grip Tight Pro as a mount for tripods as well.

So I kept this. But I am not likely to use the actual gorillapod legs. The phone mount is fantastic and includes a cold shoe to attach a microphone or video light. It will detach from the legs and can mount on any tripod or ball head etc. The legs look just like the more expensive Gorillapod legs but are very flimsy and do not, in my experience, hold a solid position very well. There is no way to adjust the angle of the phone unless you bend the legs to point the phone where you want it. Sounds easy in marketing terms but try it in practice while also trying to keep your horizon level at the same time it is a pain. And if you get the angle of the legs wrong your phone falls over. Hmm. If I did this again I would buy the phone mount and put it on a proper travel tripod with a ball head.

I love the mobility and the durability of this tripod. I’m using it right now as I’m typing this too.

In all honesty, this is aimed mainly at those that vlog, and for that, I cannot recommend it enough. If you have one subscriber or thousands, this will go a long way for making the carrying of your camera/phone far easier as well as being able to set it down and get a ton of great footage from nearly any angle you can think.

Great product. Does what it claims. Lightweight, yet flexible.

Like many of the other reviews, I experienced a fragile product that broke after 1-2 months of use. Before the legs broke, I loved this product. Perfect for me to watch movies without having to use my hands, which is my main use case. My hands are somewhat injured, so I just wanted a stand that was flexible to use in bed/on the couch. So no, this item didn't break while hiking or vlogging or while attached to an ATV...but while being adjusted sitting in bed. The tripod legs are prone to eventually break where they connect to the mount. Depending on how they break for you when you purchase this product, you may be able to reattach the leg(s) like me, but they won't hold tension after that. The legs will be floppy, and it will be difficult for it to remain upright. An inferior, cheap product, like so many things on Amazon.

You know the old saying: "you get what you pay for"? That is certainly the case in my view with the Joby products. I've tried the "look-a-like" versions and I have found them to be lacking in comparison. The iPhone grip is top-notch and I have no problems using both my iPhone XS Max and iPhone 6s in it - either in their cases or not. The tripod is strong and I also use it with my Canon 700D DSLR (with the kit lens - so not too much weight up front). The cold shoe on top of the clamp is useful for external microphones too (I use the Rode VideoMic Pro). A great, flexible setup for iPhone videographers and vloggers. Highly recommended.
