Exceeded Expections!
SOOOO HAPPY! I just inherited an antique cedar chest from my grandparents. It was made in 1942. It has some big issues, but lots of little issues too. I dont have the time to do a full restoration yet, but I wanted it to look decent while holding my blankets until its fully restored. Restore a Finish worked amazingly! The fine scratches are gone and the shine is incredible! Its taken a sad, dull and faded chest to a shiny, polished piece. For what i needed, and hoped for, this exceeded my expectations!! It was simple to use( I used 0000 steel wool and wiped off with a rag). The color matched perfectly, though it became more vibrant after wiping on. Im very pleased!

Great Product that Saved My Wood Door from an Expensive Refinish Job
This a great product! My front door was dried out looking with water stains. I have tried other products designed to make wood look better and they always look great at first but by the next day the door is back to looking really bad again. I decided to try Howards Restor-A-Finish as a "last ditch effort" to make my front door look good before I hired a company to refinish the front door at a cost of several hundred dollars. I was amazed at how good the door looked after using this product. The product is easy to use. You simply wipe it on with a cloth. The door looked better in an instant. The product is not sticky and does not require drying time. Today mark one month since I treated the door with Restor-A-Finish. The door still looks great! What I was hoping was a temporary, short-term fix seems to be a permanent solution. To be fair in this review, I need to let you know that I also ordered Howard Sunshield Beeswax Polish and used that after using Restor-A-Finish. It was recommended in the frequently bought together suggestion on Amazon. Sunshield Beeswax Polish is another easy to use wipe one product.

Don't spill!!
I'll be honest, I didn't have high hopes for this product given I was using it on a 40 year old boat that had sat neglected for almost a decade. It's not a miracle cure for old, dried out wood, but it did make a huge difference. The pictures don't do it justice. The wood was sun bleached and spotty, my camera didn't pick up well, but after treating it you'd never know. It really evened out the color so it doesn't look ancient anymore. Water marks are also completely gone or covered enough that you have to get real close to notice. However, this stuff stains fabic like crazy, as you can see by the picture where the cushion is removed. Thankfully I'd already moved it so it didn't get ruined but I'll never get that out of the underlining. I also used Howard's Sunshield after it was dry which is where the real improvement came in. So I highly recommend using some kind of protection over the wood when you're done. A couple tips. Absolutely wear gloves, you will get stained hands otherwise. Do use steel wool if the wood is a little rough, a rag is good enough otherwise. I used 0000 and that was sufficient for my purposes, but some areas would have benefited more from 000. Make sure you get the correct color. My wood was several different shades, so I picked a shade in the middle. It was definitely to dark in some areas so I'll have to hit those with a lightener. Don't expect miracles. Aside from sanding down to bare wood and restaining, it's not going to look brand spanking new. Have realistic goals. Don't use this on polyurethane covered wood, you will be disappointed. They have Restore-a-Finish Polishing Compound that is just for poly that *might* work better, haven't tried it myself so can't comment on it's effectiveness. This product works best over shellac, lacquer, or varnish. I don't care what their marketing says, I was highly disappointed with results on polyurethane covered pieces. Overall I'm extremely pleased with the product. I will definitely be recommending it to friends, family, and fellow boaters. Full disclosure, I paid for this product 100% out of pocket and was not offered any kind of compensation for leaving a review.

Great product!
Hides most scratches. Much better than the markers, but does require a couple of cloths to apply and then buff. Make sure you choose the right color for wood floors, cabinets and furniture.

Amazing results from this stain/polish
Incredible product. Used it to restore 1920โs TV. I thought it was hopelessly damaged. Not perfect, but much, much better.

PHENOMENAL!!!!
This stuff is the bomb. If I had known about it before I got my kitchen cabinets redone I would have redone them myself. I have cherry cabinets in my downstairs bathroom which the finish has been damaged on certain parts. So I ordered this on amazon after researching and decided to give it a chance. And my gosh, it looks like brand new. Super easy to apply.I was able to match as close as I could to the original finish used. I was actually gonna pay the same people that came out earlier this year to refinish these cabinets, which now I don't have to do. I only need to apply a particular wax to protect because it's an oil base.So I don't need to apply any type of sealer to it . Highly recommend for do it yourself jobs. This is the area I refinished. No sanding needed. I wish I took a before Pic. But the doors were damaged with no stain left.

Pretty Impressive
We have a VERY expensive antique mahogany dining table that was ruined when my daughter put a hot casserole dish from the oven on just a flimsy placemat. Nothing I tried worked to remove the heat damage. It was heartbreaking to look at the damage for so many months. I foolishly listened to amateur bloggers and tried the hot clothes iron trick and that was a disaster. In the past, I had excellent results with Howard's Feed-N-Wax as a wood polish and I saw that this Howard Restore product also has tons of positive reviews, so I was very excited to try this product. As you can see, it worked amazingly well. This is after 2 applications with a 0000 steel wool pad. When the first application still left some white spots, I decided to press harder and apply it again. I probably could have gone for a third application but for now, here are the incredible results. I wore rubber gloves, used a 0000 steel wool pad and also ran a fan behind me to blow any fumes away from me. The odor wasn't that bad. If you were using this daily as a carpenter then maybe you'd want to be outside but for a rare use, the fumes were fine. I waited a minute or two and then used lots of paper towels to dry the product. It is oily and will sit on the wood unless you wipe it dry. When I was eventually happy with the results and it was all dry, I gave it a light coat of their Feed n Wax polish.
