Protect your wooden skateboard ramp with Skate Paint. OC Ramps offers a paint specifically designed for wooden ramps. Want your ramp to last? Use what the Pro skateboarders use for their ramps: Skate Paint! In 1997, I was in 7th grade. It was an incredible time for skateboarding. I told my Dad that all I wanted for Christmas was a hand built, legit, quarterpipe – that I could skate with my friends on our driveway and street. We got some plans from a magazine and ran over to the hardware store to buy all the materials. It took us a few days to build an 8ft wide x 3ft tall quarter pipe. We also took into account making the ramp narrow enough to fit through our side gate of the house for storage. This was important to my parents as they did not want to constantly see our ramp in the middle of the street or in front of our garage. That ramp was the hit of the neighborhood. Within that year, my Dad received heart wrenching news that he was diagnosed with Terminal Brain Cancer. Although he was only given 6 months to live, he fought for his loving wife and 4 children for 2 years. My Dad passed away in 2000. I was 15 and a sophomore in high school. As time continued, I dabbled with building other ramps for friends and making fun skate obstacles in the neighborhood. A year later, my older brother tells me that we should see if we can sell the ramps we built with Dad. I’m proud to say that after nearly 20 years of business, we have created a number of innovative and quality products. We even have our own professional team of skateboarders from all over the globe. Never did I dream that the skater kid from 1997, after all the rough trials of life, would still have the opportunity to be building my Dad’s inspired skate obstacles. -Tyler

Great skate surface for wood ramps!
I purchased 2 gallons of skatepaint for my 12ft wide, 5ft tall mini ramp. I set up a tarp to help with leaves falling. The provided tips helped with application, which was pretty straight forward. Skate surface is awesome ! Nice smooth surface that has a great grip and feel for skating. Happy I went with skatepaint instead of other random marine products or paints. After the first all day 10 skater session - it still looks amazing. I applied skate paint with lower temperatures and had a tent which limited airflow. My drying times were a little longer than quoted, but I had 3 dry days to apply and dry and everything worked out great !!

Super sticky!
I will say this stuff DOES leave a nice coat on the ramp if you apply it right, but beware because this is the most sticky "paint" I have ever tried to use. make sure you are using a HARD roller brush because the brush was breaking off and is now stuck to my ramp under the coat of this stuff. this stuff is like thick super glue and is so horrible to try to apply to the ramp. not to mention you need a can opener to open the lid because its welded shut. if you apply it right, I think its good but good luck with that

False advertising, does the EXACT opposite
Bought it, applied it to my newly assembled Mini. Did as instructed. Waited plenty of time to dry. And it would be less slippery if it was made of ICE.. not even skateable. Spent money on new wood just for it to be ruined. Sanding made it smoother… somehow, so still slippery. There is NO INFORMATION. I believe OC Ramps goes through GREAT effort to remove any assembly of a review or information on their product online. Anywhere. Scam and a half
