A woman with a secret. A man trying to avoid his past. A case of mistaken identity that changes everything. In this explosive finale, the city of Springfield will never be the same… Kylie It was supposed to be a quick job. I had a name, an address, and a means—and right as I walked on the scene, I watched as the Devil of Springfield himself blew away the vice mayor. My first instinct is to wash my hands of the whole thing, but before I can get out of there, I’m caught and, well, caught . I’ve had some wild experiences in my line of work, but being grabbed and tossed in the back of a trunk? That takes the cake, and by the time I’m brought to a small hideaway, I’m kind of just wondering what’s going to happen next. To be honest, I’m expecting a bullet in my skull, and I’m almost welcoming it—and that’s when I meet Luca, a member of the Sinners Syndicate… and my new babysitter. He tells me this is just to keep me safe. That his boss wants me dead, and even if he didn’t, there’s a new threat in the city: a faceless assassin who goes by the Hummingbird. So long as I do what I’m told and stay where he put me, I might actually make it out of this alive. And for the first time in years, I’m digging that idea. Only Luca… he doesn’t know what to make of me. He expected tears; I give him a flirty smile. He expected me to beg; I ask him if he wants to play checkers. I’m having the time of my life, and the sparks flying between us have me close to igniting. And then he discovers that I am the Hummingbird—and, whoops, things aren’t as much fun anymore… Luca When the pretty brunette saw something she shouldn’t have, I had no choice. Devil gives the orders, and he told me to put the girl in the trunk. I put the girl in the trunk. Rumors run that becoming a dad changed Devil. Made him soft. Anyone in the life knows that’s BS, especially when he decides he’s going to eliminate the threat to the Sinners. Only I… I can’t let him. So I ask to keep her instead. If I make her mine, if I win her loyalty, then she won’t snitch. It’s easier than I thought it would be. Kylie is the strangest yet most intoxicating woman I’ve ever met, and the more time I spend with her, the more my obsession for her grows. I want to save her—but when I learn the secrets she’s been hiding, I have no choice. The Hummingbird is supposedly a threat to Springfield. But if anything happens to Kylie… I might just lose my cool. And ask anyone in Hamilton: bad things happen when Luca St. James loses his cool. I want Kylie. I’m going to keep her. And if anyone tries to take her from me, I’ll show them everything I’ve learned from the man I’ve spent the last three years driving around the city… *This is the fifth and final book in the Deal with the Devil series. It tells the story of a cheeky assassin and the man behind the wheels who will do anything for her—before realizing he enjoys letting her take care of him. Review: Luca and his hummingbird - What a beautiful combination this couple is.She is the strength he didn’t see coming and he was the calm that she didn’t see coming. Review: very gooood! - Kylie and Luca are the bomb! Loved their story, funny also, I laughd a lot.

The Best Ride I've Been On
I didn't think that anything could actually top Royce's book for me but Luca's book?! That did it. I was already feral halfway through and finishing the book has me totally crazy. Repressed dude saving himself but happily accepting loopholes? YES. And he's extremely adorable as well? EVEN MORE YES. Kylie was also a great FMC. I almost envied her LOL. Anyway, 5/5 stars and I'm so glad I discovered Carin Hart.

4.5⭐️
Ride With The Devil by Carin Hart is the final book in the Deal With The Devil series. I love this series and I am so sad that it is officially over. Luca and Kylie’s story was well written and I enjoyed it. The storyline was well paced and kept my attention. I loved that the MMC was more innocent in this story Than the FMC. It was different than the books I normally read but I loved it. Carin Hart did a fantastic job with these two characters and their love story. I read this book in one sitting. Kylie was witty, deadly, and so funny. I loved her character immediately and the more I got to know her the more I liked her. She was so unapologetically herself and did not give a shit what other people think. Luca was such a sweetheart and his backstory was rough. I loved how Kylie supported Luca. These two were so cute together. Kylie is my favorite FMC in this series. I would totally recommend not only this book but the entire series!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5 HAPPY READING

Nice trope subversion
I really appreciated this take on the captive romance and it's always nice to see a protagonist who makes meaningful choices.

So much potential
The storyline had so much potential. I was really excited to read this book. But the delivery fell flat. I was so disappointed. I gave it to stars for the good plot but because of the poor delivery, I can’t give it more than that.

good story but the typos!
I’ve read all of this series but this last one, while I enjoyed the story, it was spoilt by the numerous typos, very silly and obvious ones too. Like letters missing, f instead of of, y instead of my, paste instead of pasta, fills instead of feels. Words were missing too and the wrong pronouns used. It was in pretty much every chapter so it ruined the overall experience. Having said that, Kylie was great. It took a bit to get used to nice guy Luca and if you like your story with plenty of steam, this is not for you. It’s a sweet, slow burn but hardly anything else. I’m hoping the next series is better quality than this, otherwise I doubt if I’ll read any more. The typos are too distracting. I only gave it 3 stars because Kylie was well written.
