Really good cheap cutters. As a generator spark (fully qualified 😎) Used on as big as single core 150mm non armoured mains cables and cut easily. 32mm 3 core swa tough but use some elbow grease and it slowly gets through without damage. Really impressed

On my second pair of these, cutting 6mm3c pvcswa on a daily basis, still doing their thing just fine, BUT again the spring on the handle has shattered and the handle has gone all floppy, they still work, just not as intended, does anyone know if a replacement spring is available anywhere, I will buy another set as they’re great but feel bad that such a simple part can render them less usable

These are a really good budget ratchet cutter. Although they’re rated for copper and aluminium, I’ve been using them on SWA cable for well over a year and they haven’t faltered once. They’re still sharp and cut through cleanly with very little effort. I’ve even managed to cut a 5 core 95mm² H07 flex with them. It was a bit of a struggle, but they still got through it, which says a lot about their capability. The ratcheting mechanism works smoothly and gives you good control when cutting larger cables. Overall, a very capable and durable cutter for the price that performs better than expected.

Great tool

Instead of cleaning cutting cable the tool seems to chew midway through the cable and then gets stuck, the tool then doesn't want to release. I cannot recommend this product

Good cheap cutters but i bought this for second time and both sets have been a bit blunt from the start. Spring broke on the handle on first pair but way cheaper than big named brands

Brought solely to cut through a 50mm 5 core swa as I struggled on 1 end the traditional way, even with a stainless steel multi tool blade. Was tough halfway through, but once it finally went, was like a knife through butter. Awkward to open, as have to fully open the handles to release blade, but still easy enough. And does all it says it can do plus’s more than the description. For the cost it’s a perfect 5* Highly recommended.
