The Ultimate Cartridge Filter Cleaning Tool

This thing is very well designed and built to last, it feels like. I only used it once so far. You do need a separate shutoff to turn it on and off but I have one on the hose anyway, so it's no problem for me. It worked brilliantly for blasting water through the filter from the inside out. I may buy a second just to have as a backup. I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it.

Set up a way to put my filter horizontally and held flosser underneath slightly off-center so it would spin around with the force of the water. I then slid it back and forth underneath it go get the full length of the pleats, then additionally turned it vertically to the filter and went from end to end. Result was perfectly cleaned pleats even at the ends! My hot tub filter has plastic with holes on the inside so could only rinse from the outside so was fantastic result! I also have a solid end so I had to put the pvc pipe at an upward incline so it would not spin off the end of the pipe while spinning. I had a frame with two wire shelves with square holes turned vertically so I could have it inclined on the pipe. Highly recommend getting one to save time and water!

It work pretty good could be a little longer

If you're into gadgets that not a lot of people have, this is cool. Otherwise, it's just so so in my book. Unless you have a bunch of grass or bugs going through your tub and into your filter a regular jetted hose nosel will work for cleaning out hot tub filters. It doesn't really push anything out of the filter from the inside. A regular jetted hose nosel works fine from the outside of the filter just as well or better. Not really impressed.

I bought this and the filter flosser at the same time. I used both on my large cartridge filter that was covered in algae. The power pic was MUCH more efficient cleaning than the Filter Flosser. It had several times more pressure and the streams were much better at removing the algae. I will never use the Flosser again. This is a must have for those of us who maintain our own pools.

Great tool to clean out your pool filter. Period this is a must have for anyone who owns their own pool and saves money on cleaning the filter.

Of course the manufacturing quality of the item it very good. The functionality of the item is a different story. Upon arrival I pulled my dirty pool filter out and proceed to clean it with this item. It did a great job getting off the dirty from the very surface of the filter the but nothing between the pleats even when I manually spread them apart with my free hand. I also attempted to spray from the center of the filter with little to no effect. After no more dirty water appeared to flow from the filter, I switched back to my older sprayer that I purchased as my local pool supply company and dirt started to flow from the filter again this time cleaning between the pleats until the filter was almost new. My suggestion is skip this sprayer and find one that has less holes to increase the pressure and blast the dirty out of your filter far better than this product. Probably great for watering the landscape or playing with your kids on a hot day but not useful for a pleated pool filter.

Fantastic results with this wand

Somewhat pricey -- considering less to buy " Filter Flosser ", which includes handle for this extension's operation -- but, it does a good cleaning from inside a filter.

Not what i thought it would do
